For 50 cents it's a steal. I ordered online and collected in store.

  • I saw a bunch of ones that looked like these at Office Works and there were a lot of them that were split.

    • +1

yes, lots of them have broken handles or split top.

50 cents? Hmm I dunno man
that's a big commitment for a certified OzBargainer. Will need to think about it, discuss it with the missus, work it through in the quieter moments

It’s not worth the “buying more crap online again” points.

  • Sold out at all Tassie stores..

    • lol, yeah, checked the same :). $62 delivery for 5

      • Isn't a hemp basket better (for carrying hemp)?

What are they being used for so often they've sold out in Tassie?

        Tulips?

  • +1

Sold out all round my area

    • +2

      where is your area?

  • Sold out over most of sydney

  • +1

    $89 delivery lol

  • 1 in North Geelong (in other words, none)

I have one of this, didn't even last a week. Handle broke

  • These are super handy, but alas the $40 shipping makes the deal much less desirable :(

  • That’s a lot of tub per dolllar.

    • +9

      Two exactly. #quickmaffs

  • They are awful. My wife bought a few years ago. Broken and crap but not broken enough to throw out. An eyesore. Don't buy.

    • Not broken enough to throw out? Surely if it was broken, you'd throw it out…

      • not broken, just modified

        • Maybe it's actually a feature?

      • It still holds stuff. They're cracked, with broken handles so can't easily be carried and with no lid crap falls out all the time. It's an odd shape, so stacking isn't really possible. As a storage container it is both physically broken and a horrible failure. But until it stops actually holding stuff it's not totally broken and as she paid more than 50c each and we don't have money to burn on new storage every 5 minutes we are making use of them. Slowly replacing them now with storage containers that have lids.

The Sistema ones regularly go on sale for half price at Woolies. Check those out. They have lids too.

        • @Munki:

Yeah Sistema is great. I mostly use the smaller containers. I find the sizing of the large tubs awkward. The ones at office works are pretty good but not being transparent you have to have some discipline labeling them. None of these are unbreakable but they're good.

The ones from Kmart and the bargain shops break if you so much as look at them! Flimsy garbage plastic, especially the lids.

  • have seen this item come up twice on ozb at this retailer. both times close to or completely unavailable nation wide for click and collect. scam in operation here..

  • can this be used for growing plants?

    • You can grow a plant anywhere!

    • Good for indoors stuff, like putting washing in etc, but I'd not try growing plants.

  • Good price, but none in Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

  • none, in South Sydney area :(

  • My local only had one in stock and it double charged me online. Not sure I can be bothered contacting them to refund 50c

There once was a man from Nantuckett
Who wanted a SCA cheap bucket….
    He wasn't that dense
    So at 50 cents
He said to his wife what a good idea and how great value it is but we probably don't really need one so I won't get one.

    • *Nantucket

      • I wasn't after any charity!
