    Is this Au stock???

    • +1

Yes its from The Good Guys.

      • People on eBay sale overseas stock without mentioning.
However if it's good guys, must be AU stock

  • What was the black Friday deal?

    • $999 @ JB Hi-Fi, $978 @ Harvey Norman, and $929 @ Officeworks with price beat guarantee.

      • Thanks. Great price.

  • Can't place my order! Just keeps returning with error messages saying to try processing payment again. Then when revisiting the order, an error comes up saying, "Order service temporarily unavailable or invalid parameters in the request URL." WTF

    • Was only able to ship it, all stores close to me sold out…no point in travelling over 10km to pick up item if shipping is $5 #savingpetrol

    • Same here, had to pay $5 shipping for it to work.

      • Strange, last time this eBay sale was on, I could only pick-up, as if I selected shipping, it wouldn't process the order.

  • Any thoughts on this vs an S9+?

Looking to replace my S7 edge soon.

Not sure if I'd use the stylus…

Is that and the bigger screen the only reason to go for the note?

    • +3

The Note has a 6.3 inch screen vs 6.2 on S9+… so don't get the note for the bigger screen.

I dont use the stylus that much but is useful for writing notes or signing pdf documents. I some times use it at Uni when I have to draw diagrams and dont have paper.

The S9+ has better battery then Note 8 and the camera has some extra features, but both have the dual lens. If you will use the phone to take super slow motion videos or low light photography then get the S9+.

I have the Note 8 and am happy with battery life/Camera. Coming from an S6 it seemed like a fairly nice upgrade.

  • Any of the AU stock actually dual SIM or is that just import models?

    • +1

Only some imported models have dual SIM. AU Stock is single sim only.

      • But do the imported models work with any Australian network without issues? Thanks…

        • Yes, they work perfectly fine with Australian networks. I bought my note 8 from Amaysim eBay for $915. I use an Optus Sim and it works.

      • Thanks, yeah I meant select import models. Anyone know how they work? Can I time schedule the second sim (i.e. turn off outside work hours?)

        • +1

When I tested two sims on my Note 8, I found that they are both active, but you can assign functions to each sim. For example I can use Mobile Data on Sim 1 and assign Calls/Texts to Sim 2. I dont think you can schedule a sim to turn off. Also note that only one sim uses 4G, the other uses 3G.

        • @rosrav: Thanks - doesnt sound as flexible as I was hoping.

  • Bought one, thanks OP. Now to get rid of this iphone- anyone want an iphone 7 :p

    • How much for?

      • Was gonna look at around the $800 mark. 256gb Matte Black version, bought it new May last year from JB.

Phone is perfect condition with a glass screen protector and a good silicon case, no scratches or marks on it- hasn't been dropped. (Full box and inserts, lightning cable is in perfect condition, the headphones have had very minor usage- talking 3-4 times as I use a QC35).

Also have a series 3 42mm iWatch(GPS only). Full box and inserts. Couple minor scuffs on the watch screen. Was going look to do both as $1000 together, or $300 just for the watch.

        Thoughts?

It may be the cheapest for Australian stock however over 1K is still rather pricey. Afraid I have to wait longer before pulling the trigger.

For those who purchase note 8 via Amaysim, what's your feedback on their 2 year warranty even though the device is grey stock, not covered by Samsung AU?
