    • Yeah I grabbed a pair of the Beats Studio3 and money has been debited - now the waiting game begins!

  • Got two beats studio 3 . Let the fun begin.

I bought from such a listing (Amazon UK). The item never arrived and it took me around 2 months to get the money back. My theory: the seller could deposit the money in a savings account and earn some free interest. Any thoughts?

    • -3

no, the seller never got the money, u pay to amazon and they won't give it to seller until u confirm u have received.

      • I’ve never confirmed I received any item from amazon, i presume no seller I bought from ever got payment from amazon ?

        • -3

if u brough this qc35 like me, u will c

AMAZON MKTPLC AU SYDNEY SOUTH AU Card Used

on ur credit card bill, u ar sending ur money to amazon and they ar holding it.
amazon can see u have received with the tracking, and/or if didn't complain after a certain period of time they will transfer the money to seller.

srry i shouldn't say "until u confirm u have received",
the tracking will show u have received,
or if u don't make a claim long after the "Estimated", amazon will assume u have received.

  • Yikes! Good luck those who bought!

This sounds risky - did you see the guy that got rocks sent instead of his 1dx? And then after getting a replacement he got bricks sent?

Good Amazon gave him a USD $1000 gift card.

Shure SE535 Another 'bargain' pair of earphone~

    • Thanks, bought one, let’s see..

      • All's well, just sold out as I was checking out.

        • +1

try the se425, still a bargain for $171

      • Hope you get them! They're awesome, would have bought a back up at this price. Let us know if you receive them.

    • What was the price on these?

  • The same seller (Sports 2018) is now selling the black for $369 and silver for $399.

My experience with overseas Amazon has been that prices like this are usually honoured. For example, I got a normally €200+ hiking jacket for <€60. But that was a much more mature selling platform, so I guess we’ll see!

    • "Preparing for Shipment"

      Delivery estimate: Monday, 26 March 2018 - Thursday, 12 April 2018 by 9:00pm

    • Shipped with China Post. Arriving April 12.

    • Message from 3rd party seller:

      dear friends,
please do not worry about it.
all of our item are 100% authentic and original.

      • +2

        Source : trust me dude

  • Too good to be true

  • +1

Lmao they’re also selling hypebeast clothing

  • +15

Something smells very fishy here guys.
Wait I'm standing in front of fish shop.

  • How do you see all the items they are selling? I can find a link to their store

  • That's insane, knew I was missing something before going to bed. The seller looks dodgy as hell though, they've got limited edition sneakers way below RRP "100% authentic"

  • +1

    price up to au399 now

  • +1

Wow crazy, lets see if someone can confirm if they actually receive any?

  • +5

Who says hanging out on ozbargain late on a saturday night is not worth it :)

  • impossible price…..

    • mission impossible 7 in the making ….

  • And now this seller (Sports 2018) is selling an Asics Kayano 24 shoes for $95 delivered which seems too good to be true. Some are assuming that it may be a scam. Sounds familiar with this thread.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/365975

    • I'm not really sure why the Kayano 24 deal seems too good to be true, you can get them for the same price from kogan with a $50 off $120 voucher for $10?

      • +2

Other shoes though; like the pharrell nmds, which actually retail for $380, and were an extremely limited release. If you're a sneakerhead or hypebeast, you'll know. Seller is selling them for like $170 "100% authentic guaranteed".. not to mention the highly sought after "The ten" collection from virgil (offwhite x nike) with resale prices north of $1000 being listed for $160

  • +10

I can almost guarantee this seller is either going to send you a counterfeit product or not send anything at all.
He's already selling plenty of counterfeit sneakers at below retail price.

  • Now selling for $335

    • $319 two minutes later.. wth

  • +2

This sounds dodgy, the seller 'Sports 2018' no longer has any items listed. But suspiciously there is a new storefront with the same items/prices with the name 'Original Store 2018'.

    • +1

They also seem to have another site "Hey Vocy" with all the same items at different prices
      HEY VOCY
Considering three sites in two days with 4 different prices, I wouldn't be holding out hope to receive it for $171. Hopefully Amazon refund you when necessary.

  • +1

Good luck to everyone when you receive your Taobao headphones.

    • +7

Ozbargain should have a sister site with all the fail bargains when they finally receive it. Would make for an interesting read of hastely bought bargains with chinese instructions lol

      Something like ‘OzFailgains’

      • OzBarlosses

    • Maybe if they send everyone Xiaomi headphones, everyone will be happy :p

  • It’s worth noticing the following text (written by Amazon) at the bottom of email copies of messages to third-party sellers:

    • My order was shipped out at 12:15 pm on the same day too…… Way earlier than I placed the order

  • +2

Yeah got the tracking info, arriving April 12. hopefully it's not a brick 😁

    • +2

Even if you get what appears to a qc35ii. Try download the bose app and connect to the headphone. If it doesn't. Its likely a fake.

    • +1

Keep us updated when you get it, if it turns out real then you would of got deal of the century!! But I highly doubt it.

    • Did everyone get different tracking numbers?
      My tracking ends with …0788CN

      • 989CN for me

Something tells me I'll have confirmation they are fake well before then…

      • +1

        haha, probably.

I will keep you guys posted.

    • Please keep updated if its fakes or not?

  • If it's real, that just shows how much marked up customers are paying. Man those people that paid $499 for it…

  • +1

What i'm still so surprised about after finding and posting this deal is that international businesses can set-up and sell though Amazon AU - at least you can select ship from 'Australia Only' in search results in eBay…

There was nothing indicating that the items would be shipped from China

It's going to be interesting to see the process of getting refunds etc if the goods are indeed fake - i'm kind of feeling guilty that so many of you pulled the trigger and hope for a hassle free outcome - at least you know that I'm in it too with a pair of Beats on the way…. Fingers crossed!

  • +1

Ya'll better do a thorough analysis when it arrives. Chances are it'll be a fake.

Even the fakes have serial numbers on them and look almost identical. I have heard the noise cancelling is pretty bad on the fakes though. Best bet is to get the serial number verified by Bose. They may also not connect to the Bose app and you won't be able to register the product (sign of a fake)

    • The easiest way to test for a fake is to try connecting it to the Bose APP. Fakes won't connect….. you often see in dodgy eBay listings in the fine print of the description "No app support".

      • If you're in Sydney, there is a Bose store in the city Westfield. I'd try them first.

  • +2

Ordered SE535ltd early 11/3 AM, got a shipping notification email just now coming from China post unfortunately. "Finally, beware if the Internet auction site dealer is in a different country than you. History has proven that many counterfeit Shure products are being sold from one country into another."

Highly likely to be fakes considering how often Shures are counterfeited.

    • Oh dear. That does not sound encouraging.

    • Same here, item just shipped from China. Any idea how to spot the fakes?

      • +2

If they don't look and sound as if they're worth $450 they're fake. Possibly an easier tell is the L/R on the housing will be poorly painted since they're raised in a recession.

Considering the other two headphones (Bose/Beats) are also heavily counterfeited, and Shure is also a heavily counterfeited brand, AND the rest of their stuff (shoes/bags) are often faked, I'd say there's some 95% chance they're all fake. The only silver lining is that it wouldn't make much sense for them to sell fakes on Amazon - for a new seller especially, the money is held until Amazon is comfortable that their products are sound - they would simply lose money on shipping fees (cheap) and the fakes themselves (not cheap - most fakes sell for US$220+).

Only chance they're real is if they're stolen or otherwise not very legitimate and trying to offload them asap.

I have to admit I bought them with my heart more than my head. I've wanted the beautiful Red SE535s for years (https://media.karousell.com/media/photos/products/2015/10/22…)but could never justify the huge price increase over the 'butt bronze' and 'hearing aid clear' ones so I jumped on this deal with the smallest chance they'd be real since it's on Amazon.

Unlike Beats/Bose, Shure dealers are much harder to find so the best bet to getting a refund would be to send high quality pictures to Shure to get a letter.

        • Thanks so much for the detailed answer!

I’ve sent a message asking if the products are authentic, here’s what they replied.

          Message from 3rd party seller:
          Dear friends,
          Please don’t worry about it.
All of our items are 100% authentic and original.
We have already been in business for many years and there are many customers who always recommend our products to their friends.

        • +1

I don't believe that for a second. SE535ltd would sell for the equivalent value in their home market ($400+). There would need to be some shady reason to sell overseas instead.

Going to assume fakes unless my ears/Shure prove otherwise. Would be pleasantly surprised if they end up real.

        • +1

          Totally agree with you

  • +1

What the hell I just got this message from the seller. All I bought was one beats and 2 bose headphones. And I didn't contact seller for anything

    Order ID xxxx:

    Message from 3rd party seller:
    Dear friends,
Thanks for your order, we have already shipped the shoes out to you.
Generally speaking, it will take about 7-10 days to your door.
Could you please kindly wait and check it later ?
Please feel free to let me know if you need further inquiry.

    Best regards

      • +2

Same here. I am interested in what shoes did they send.

Interesting to hear when everyone gets there deals. Needs to be a single thread with shoes bose and beats!

  • +1

Hmmmm chose the free shipping option, and appears the item is already in Australia?
Just tracked my parcel on amazon and got this:
Package arrived at a carrier facility
    Commenwealth Of Australia Auaumela.
So I tracked it on Australia Post website and got this:
Arrived at facility in destination country
    Time & date 07:24am Tue 13 Mar

Not expecting Bose QC35 to arrive, but semi excited to see what I get haha.

    • Gee what ever they are sending was quick - my tracking number is only showing '8:57 am Package left the carrier facility' yesterday and isn't even showing up on China Post website…

At least i'll know what other people are receiving well before my parcel arrives… I guess atleast you can start you refund process faster if indeed they are fake… Good luck!

    • +1

      Processed through Australia Post facility
      Time & date 12:03pm Wed 14 Mar

      • So have you got the "headphones" yet?

        • +1

Nope. Pretty confident they’re not coming…

        • @johnno1987:

Ah that sucks. Hope you best of luck getting a refund.

        • @bruc3: yeah. Delivered to a different state. Logged on to amazon, got on live chat and the A-Z claim was instantly approved. So should get refund soon. No apology voucher though. Oh well.

  • Mine is showing delivered on auspost tracking.. today…. to a different state….

Would not be surprised if they have stuffed up the tracking numbers….

Or its part of their sneaky plan…

  • I actually texted the dude wanting to find out why he's sent the shoes and this is what he said.

sorry for the typo, it is headphone, not shoes. please don't worry about it.

OK, at least they're headphones. I'll connect to the app once received and will let you guys know.

  • +2

With all the weird tracking info, is it possible the seller has a collection of unrelated tracking numbers (legit parcels from legit senders for other people) and has just put those in to fool Amazon and us?

    • +1

      Absolutely nothing would surprise me!

  • According to AusPost

    header Time & date

I've never heard of Research VIC before, whom did they send my headphone to?

    emm….

    • Should've done your research..

      • Well, I certainly know it is a suburb in Victoria. Can you research about whom they sent my headphone to?

        • Weren’t you able to use AusPost “redirect” feature to change the address to yours?
