99c for pack of 6 champagne glasses at IKEA Richmond this weekend (80% off). For comparison, costs about $8 to hire 18 glasses from Dan Murphy's.
Labour day long weekend offers 9/3-12/3.

Dammit I was just there and I need more. Though I did buy a table and chairs for our balcony which cost $30.97, gotta love that.
Champagne should not be served in flutes. It’s meant to be served in a wide-bodied glass similar to those used for white wines.
While the classic, narrow flute is commonly used and offers a beautiful display of effervescence, it can inhibit our ability to explore the depth of aroma and flavour in that champagne.
And also please don’t use the term “Australian Champagne” because there’s no such thing.
I just chug it straight from the cask.

I'm of two minds. Firstly, drink your wine out of whatever makes you happy. This is the most important thing.
Secondly, champagne is commonly about the bubbles. Having a wide-bodied glass would simply allow for greater exposure to the air and losing that quite quickly. It's why we drink beer in tall glasses and not wide bodied.
The only reason you have a wide bodied glass is to allow the buildup of smell and greater oxidisation. Neither of those are the point of champagne, it's about mouth feel and flavour. Oxidising the crap out of it will give you a flavour - a bad one and an unintended one. Wine makers know how most people drink their wine and make it to suit.
And do you know who loves that guy at the party who explains that Champagne is a region and not a type? No one. Especially when no one bought it up to begin with.

You are right on all counts . I dont why you got downvoted . Especially about No such thing as Australian Champagne.
Because no one wants to find out the truth.
Champagne glasses for 16c and a 6 pack for 99c are slightly different.
Great deal though, pity I don't reside in VIC :P
