Xiaomi Mi WiFi 300M Amplifier 2 Wireless Router, English Version: US $7.64 (~AU $10.38) @ Everbuying

180

Not the cheapest of all time, please put the pitchforks away.
Seems like a decent deal for the English Version.

Also a breeze to purchase with the checkout through paypal option.

  • Good bargain PO! Ralink chipset usually comes with some compatibility issues but considering the price no complain.

Make a new account and use 50 EB points to save 1 USD.

    • dammit didn't do this lol

    • how do you redeem the points? it is not giving me the option to use my EB points for some reason.

edit: nevermind. found it. got 100 points so USD2 discount

  • Will this work well with alll the mijia/yeelight stuff? Can't get my yeelights reliably connected to my linksys router

    • +1

I am new to the xiaomosphere & unable to assist.

    • yeah it should help with yeelights as they connect directly to the router via wifi. this would not work where zigbee based sensors are out of range of the xiaomi aqara gateway.

also to know. these devices cut your achievable network speed in half when connecting through it. this is because the device must listen for date then send the data. do takes twice as long as connecting directly to the router

  • does anyone have experience with this? is the speed enough for streaming netflix? also, dumb question, can I leave it plugged it into the power outlet (using a phone charger with USB port)? thanks in advance!

It can't do 4k Netflix streaming but anything else should be fine. There shouldn't be any problem with the power outlet. It only needs electricity from a power source to work so any outlet would be fine.

      • thanks bud! I now received the item and is working properly. The big problem I have is that our Samsung TV is having a hard time connecting to the wifi amplifier. Is there a setting for the wifi amplifier that will make it compatible with the TV? It is not having issues connecting with the network of the router. It only has this issue with the wifi repeater network (one with "_plus"). If it is not the setting, does the network key affect it? I saw one response in a similar reported issue advising to try to only use alphanumeric key. thanks!

  • Thanks, bought 1
