So just wanted to get a new toothbrush and to my amazement I checkout and get the following:

    Update: moocher has worked it out… You will have to go through the checkout process, and select Address from Address Book and then confirm your Payment Method, once that is confirmed you then need to pick FREE delivery option (Get it by Mar 15-20) in order to qualify for free delivery.

    Otherwse, the default option selected is $5.99 EXPEDITED Delivery.

      Seems to work for me, but I only get $60.00 discount. No free shipping. Shipping is still $5.99.

    I don't know what promo this is, but it seems to work for most items under // spend $50 or more on selected household and personal care supplies will receive $15 off // — I could be very wrong here. But the math seems to be e.g. $214.99/50=4.299
    4.299*15 = 64.5

      Thanks for looking just a quick google search and it looks like the 8000 is a better deal; according to Oral B site that 8000 and 9000 are essentially the same just different coloured handles.

      Our Oral-B Genius 9000 is a UK model and as this is not available in the US, it's not listed on our American website. However, I'd be happy to still explain the differences for you.

      The only difference between the 9000 and 8000 versions is the colour of the handle

          As per comment below I think Amazon Checkout system was calculating wrong deducting $15 off every $50. Instead of a ONCE off $15 per order over $50.
          I managed to get it on my cart earlier.

        I recently bought the 8000 for $149 and also researched the 9000 which was selling for $189. The difference is that the 9000 comes with a travel case that can recharge the handle whilst in the case. The 8000’s travel case is just a simple case. The idea is that when traveling with the 9000 you only need th travel case and not have to bring the charger as well

    I reckon the dual handle 8000 is the best buy at $194 It’s only one charger but my hubby and I generally only use the one charger anyways.

        Shane it doesn't show the financier of that particular study, Braun fund a number of studies that conclude oral b is best, and Sonicare do the same.

      Form what I read a while ago when trying to decide it depends on how you brush.

      Sonic toothbrushes still require you to brush properly (in a circle and not up and down).

      Rotating tooth brushes mean you only need to move the brush over your teeth for them to be effective.

    I just use the basic "Oral B Precision Clean" electric toothbrush that is regularly on sale for $20 or under. I pick up a new one every five years or so.

    I'm really wondering what this one offers extra, other than "Position Detection" (I generally manage to locate the position of my mouth semi-accurately on my face without this, so I probably don't need it).

      It vibrates much faster. I upgraded to one of these a few years ago and this is ripping your face off in comparison.
