BenQ RL2755HM 27” Gaming Monitor - $348 @ JB Hi-Fi

54

Hey guys, had my eye on the Zowie range for a while since they were coming up @ discount since Christmas. Saw this at Jb today & decided to jump on it as it was only $100 more than the 24” model.
No doubt everywhere will follow this price but seemed like a good deal if you want a entry level 27” FHD 1ms monitor.
Cheers

Full disclosure: I personally bought this for use with my PS4, but if your after a PC gaming set up - maybe look at the recommendations in the comments.

Just set it up & very happy

    60hz only for 350?

Pretty expensive for a FHD 60Hz TN, no?

  • +8

60hz is not a gaming monitor.

1080p on a 27" doesn't look that great either. i dont see a bargain here at all.

For that price, you are better off with the LG 24GM79G-B @ $320. It's a 24" though.

    • This is truth.

If you're using a real gaming PC that can push more than 60fps you should try to return that monitor - you want something that is 144hz or even 240hz.

The suggested monitor by @Bargain4Days from PCCasegear is infinitely better especially if you have an AMD card.

  • You should take it back if you bought this. 60hz and full hd for 350 and not even thin bezel is shit.

  • Well, 60Hz refreshing rate can't be gaming monitor, and also FHD is too low for 27" monitor now, 2K resolution must be the minimum requirement for current time.

Multiple comments stating the exact same thing, all neglecting to understand that this monitor is specifically designed and targeted towards console gaming.

    • I'd like to use my bigger screen TV to play console games.

      • As much as some people like to use monitors to watch movies, what's your point?

I use to be the same. Then started playing on a monitor. Never going back to playing on TVs due to the response time and input lag. Specially for fps games.

I have got this monitor and use it with my xbox one. This monitor is specially made for console gaming. Current generation of consoles ( even the xbox one x and PS4 pro ) cannot output higher than 60HZ.

This monitor came out few years ago when consoles were still limited to 1080P.

It's a great a monitor for console gaming, but definitely not for PC gaming.

But if you have the newer consoles ( xbox one x or PS4 Pro ) which are capable of 4k, note that this monitor is 1080p.

Yeah sorry guys, should have stated I specifically bought it for use on my PS4, so while I appreciate the PC references it was specifically suited to my needs and space requirement!

    Update original with this info.

    Thanks Ozbargainers

You may want to set the PS4 to full RGB and also set the monitor to full RGB (RGB 0-255). This can improve picture quality and make it more vibrant.

      • Just did that after I saw your post and MYGOD it looks a million dollars better!

  • I bought this for my ps4 from the last deal. Pretty happy with it.

  • Does this monitor has speaker? Looking to use it for Xbox one S. Or anybody know how to connect speaker to Xbox one S?

    • Yes it does, though if you have it connected via HDMI and get no sound maybe play with your xbox settings.

  • Not even slightly a bargain. Wait for the 20% off ebay tech sales, can grab much better bang for your buck monitors. I got a an AOC 27" near bezel less monitor for $216 FHD and 3ms (if youre using for a console, this is absolutely fine and you'll notice no difference), plus its mostly metal, feels like much better quality. OP don't know why you thought this was a bargain, anyone thinking of buying this for this price needs to look harder.

For this price and 60hz I would recommend looking at the new Sceptre 4k monitor, the reviews are excellent:

  • not even a bargain, has always been $348 at JB
