Our fantastic LITB rep has provided a link for the Xiaomi 5 in 1 kits for USD$49.

Similar to the previous popular Gearbest deals, a few dollars cheaper thanks to currency conversion asnd coming from our favorite supplier LITB (Gearbest are tightening the ropes - deals out of them lately are fairly poor).

$49 USD delivered (slow delivery)
+USD$8.86 Expedited post
+USD$12.66 Expedited Express

To get the cheapest possible price, select USD as your currency, use a fee-free credit card and ensure that insurance is unticked when checking out.
If paying on AUD card, I think its cheaper to select AUD currency and untick insurance when checking out ($64.75)

These kits are awesome kits and a fair bit below the standard pricing. Local stock is available from GearBite for around AUD$75.
Plenty in stock at LITB, 200 appearing in the listing, but they won't last long.

Don't forget 5% cashrewards, making the units $61.51 after cashback!

NOTE: LITB are having issues with their upstream proxies and passing post variables. You will end up with a 502-bad gateway if you try and check out in the normal way. Instead of following the normal checkout process, opt for paypal checkout - when it returns you to the screen to select the postage, it will actually work.

Using the "proceed to checkout" will catch you in a loop where you cannot pay for the item (502 bad gateway). You can attempt to pay via the pay link in order history, but best option is to take the paypal checkout. Even if using a coupon for the site, use the checkout with paypal link and then enter the code after logging into paypal and pre-authorising the charge.

Be prepared to buy the other forty Xiaomi home automation gadgets once you get started on this.

& making them all work together in unison is sooooooooooooooooo much fun

  • What is the code? It is showing me $64. Thanks

    • There is no code. Pay in USD if you want $62 price, or pay in AUD and its a bit more.

Thanks OP - any chance on some deals on some components to go with the kit (e.g. human body sensor, door/window sensor, water sensor, zigbee socket, etc)?

    • +2

If I hear of any, will post.

I am chasing at the moment the following:
      - Door and window sensors
      - Human Body sensors (with and without stands)
      - Zigbee sockets
      - Xiaomi Mijia Honeywell Smoke Alarm Detectors
      - dafangs

If you hear of any deals, let us know as well?

DD4 have recently had a good price on a lot of this kit (Dafangs for $29aud) etc, but they had 3 days of having a broken payment gateway, which meant a lot of orders werent processed (who runs a site that you cant pay for an item for 3 days in this age?). DD4 still have a couple on reasonable prices, but they went up after the store worked again.

If I see anything approaching a reasonable price, will post and link up here.

I've no association with LITB. The reps can only post x deals in any given time, so alert me and others on the forum to these deals as they come up.

      Cheers,
      James

Thanks - yep my "target" price for these is:

Xiaomi Smart Wi-Fi Socket Zigbee USD$8
Xiaomi Smart Human Body Sensor USD$7
Xiaomi Smart Home Aqara Human Body Sensor (on Stand) USD$7
        Xiaomi Smart Door/Window Sensor USD$5
Xiaomi Aqara Smart Window Door Sensor USD$5
Xiaomi Smart Home Aqara Water Sensor USD$11
Xiaomi Mijia Honeywell Fire Alarm / Smoke Detector USD$23

        • I ordered a human body sensor from a seller on Aliexpress and it arrived on Monday, to the wrong address two states away.

AU Post said, it goes to the address on the label, and said that they don't track the address on the label for standard international postage so he couldn't see exactly where it went apparently. Seller hasn't responded yet.

Anyway it was 12.80 USD. I could go one or two for $7.

  • What is everyone doing with some of their sensors?
Would be great to get some added ideas of additional things to automate

    My sensors:
Living room (Human Body Sensor) - triggers a light for a few minutes
Window/Door - triggers a door bell and light
Bedroom (Switch) - lives above the bed so one press turns on a light and two presses turns on a air con

    • H how did you connect it to your aircon? Also I assume the light is an Yi light?

      • Yes Yi Lights
and for the aircon I have it in a always on state and switch it on with a Socket Zigbee :)
Oldschool aircon, probably wouldn't be able to do it with newer models but you could maybe look at triggering a xiaomi infrared remote controller to operate the aircon.

        • Problem with air cons is the 15a earths :(

  • Showing as $56.99 USD for me now… (or $75 AUD). I clicked the deal link…
