Free 10 Day Sample for New Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup SPF 25 In Your Shade @ Estee Lauder Counters

160

Estee Lauder has launched a lighter version of their popular Double Wear Stay in Place Make-up called Double Wear Nude Water Fresh. It comes in 24 shades and is for low to medium coverage. Reviews from beauty sites and bloggers have been mostly positive. The formula is very similar to MAC Studio waterweight.

As they are keen to market this new product, they're giving out free 10 day samples in your shade at store counters (David Jones or Myer - Sephora doesn't stock it yet). They basically fill a small plastic container, label it with the shade of your choice and you can take it home to try at your leisure. It's also advertised on the linked page above:

TRY DOUBLE WEAR NUDE WATER FRESH FOR 10 DAYS—FREE. STOP BY THE ESTÉE LAUDER COUNTER FOR YOUR PERFECT SHADE.

I didn't have to show the page to get a sample, it was offered to me.

If you prefer the original high coverage Double Wear Stay-in-place, you can still get a 10 day sample in your shade for that.

Do they have my favourite shade : Ozbargain Orange?

Yes, get some Estee Lauder fake tan and apply liberally.

      • Can these be used to conceal scabs?

What do you think of the foundation?

I've only tried it once but I like it so far. It's quite watery and can be a little runny to apply, but the finish is quite natural and doesn't look as made-up and flat as the original Double Wear Stay-in-Place (I used to have to dilute the stay-in-place with a little serum for day time use). It is quite expensive though, I'll have to compare it with the Ordinary's serum foundation some time.

Thanks moocher :) I will try it out if I find myself near a Myer this weekend. Can never get enough foundations. And my favourites keep being discontinued.

  • Does anyone else have super dry skin that you need to use a night cream, base then foundation? I've yet to find a foundation that doesn't show off all the textures of my face…

    • How are you applying your foundation? I do find the Double Wear very drying.

      • Fingers! I do have brushes but can't seem to avoid brush marks…

        • Afaik, things like brushes can cause micro-exfoliation, removing dead dry skin as you're applying foundation. I have dry spots and I use cushion sponges (can be had for $2 for a pack of 7). Instead of rubbing or buffing into my face, I pat foundation onto my skin with a damp cushion sponge so it doesnt move any dry skin. Something like a beauty blender might work too, but find they absorb too much product.

        • @Ughhh: Was recently given a blender that feels like squishy jelly, silicon. Might give that a go.

        • @anastasiastarz: Late, but I find the use of excess product worth it. If you want to save product, use your hands. If you don't mind, use a blender (I like the Kmart marbled one, not solid). The silicon ones are garbage imo
