Was in Woolies this evening and saw this in a promo box. Last time, they only offered a 7G deal back @ the start of January for the same price. Hadn't seen it advertised anywhere. 28 day account rollover.

  • If you want to use the SIM for the $30 credit (to transfer to another Telstra Prepaid for example), then you cannot activate the SIM with the plan which gives you the bonus 10GB.

Also, you can no longer use carrier billing for Google Play with Telstra Prepaid.

No current offers allow CM2U or Google Play

      • Didn't know Tel$tra got rid of CM2U for new plans. Still have 1 $30 starter pack… Oh well…

    • Unfortunately, you can no activate starter kits to transfer the included $30 credit to another prepaid account no matter which offer you choose - none of the current offers are compatible with CreditMe2U.

      • Simplicity or Long Life should still have CreditMe2U.

        • +2

Except that neither are available any more - both have been replaced by a new offer "Long Life Plus" that is a compromise between the 2 and doesn't support CreditMe2U.

        • @OnTheMark: Thanks for the information.

    • will it be alright if im on optus prepaid then port over?

      • Other than bringing in your Optus number, the net result will be the same as if you activated it with the number on the pack…

    • I have just activated a $30 Sim Starter Kit and received the bonus 10gb on top of the 2.5gb prepaid extra plan (yes I know the promo starts 'first recharge') but got it anyway. This was also a $30 Starter kit for tablets, which you have said before can't be activated on phone plans.

  • If I am on a post-paid Telstra plan (recently out of contract) can I just grab one of these and move over to it? And does it automatically cancel my current plan? It's been a while since I have done this, I'm just looking for a temporary option until a reasonable S9 plan comes out.

Buy this starter kit & call Telstra Customer care and ask them to move you on to the prepaid and tell them that you have already bought a $30 sim starter kit from your local supermarket.

Also available at Coles at this price

    • Cheers. Doesn't say anything about the bonus data on the Coles website, though…

Doesn't matter - all of the $30 starter kits are the same - regardless of where you buy them from!
