From my experience, Groupon pays the cashback on the final price, unlike eBay who pays it on the pre-discounted price.
This means that the total is actually 19%.
Example: You purchase a $100 product on Groupon, "SAVENOW" brings it down to $90. Then Cashrewards pays 10% of $90 which is $9.
Final price = $100 - $10 - $9 = $81.
That's a 19% discount.
Another way to calculate this: 90% of 90% is 81%, so that's 19 percentage points below 100%. That is a 19% discount.

I"m encountering an odd situation now, on the groupon App, if you have chosen an item of $10 for example, you bump the quantity to 10, which makes the total of $100, if you enter the discount code, it will only deduct $1, the 10% off the unit price. I just made the payment and realised this is the behaviour of the promo code.
Is this how it suppose to be?
Yes, the code only works on one item at a time. So it's discounting the first $10 by $1 and adding the other 9 $10 items at full price.
You have to buy them separately.
