What's with all the recent post I see with "minimalist". Is this on trend or something? There was a post on minimalist watch and now wallet. Is "minimalist" the new word for no frills/cheap unbranded stuff?

It has been a 'trend' for a decade now.
      This is a minimalist post.

I guess sometimes less is more :)

Price not minimalist for something made in china

I think you're being a bit harsh. They still have to package and post it within Australia and make a couple of bucks to keep the lights on. I think $15 is a great price, if it's half decent quality.

  • At least he didn't describe them as bespoke. The misuse and ubiquity with how that word is thrown around drives me nuts.

All my replies are bespoke. :)

  • I brought a similar wallet from Big W for $9.95 a few weeks ago….

    • Was it leather?

    • I purchased this last night ($1.95 posted). Love that it's only 0.4cm think. It's just to store my license + extra credit card + some cash. Google Pay for everything else.

      • Can't speak for the wallet you have ordered but in 2016 I ordered a heap of these slim style wallets trying to find a replacement for one I lost. I couldn't find one I liked and so I found a quality manufacturer and made my own.

I found the leather used in many of the wallets was very prone to scratching and other wear. I've thrown them out but found a photo of one I was using which shows what I mean: https://imgur.com/OwYE2Vq

After 1.5 years use my wallet is still looking like new and I'm pretty hard on my belongings.

I also found many of the designs make it very difficult to remove cash, my design aims to make this easier even when you have 6 cards in there.

I do acknowledge the price is over 7 times the one you posted but it's a good quality well constructed wallet that will last.

This is not a bargain lol

  • I would highly recommend the Secrid wallets if people are after something small. They are $100 (i know i know, completely out of this price range). But the way it splays the cards out for you is amazing utility in day by day use

    • I found Secrid a bit thick, personally I bought a travelambo small

      • nice one. Id prob choose this over the current deal. I have fat fingers so i do have difficulty fishing the cards out which is why the secrid was such a godsend

    • Thanks, I was thinking that the wallet I ordered from Tinydeal couldn't have been a China original.

      Mystery solved!

      • thats an amazing price. does it splay well? whats the leather quality?

ive used my secrid for 3 years no issues but backups are always nice to have

        • I actually have this one:
          https://www.banggood.com/Fashion-Aluminum-Leather-ID-Credit-…
But have too many cards for it, hence moving to a double.
No complaints about build, except for the plastic fold for notes. I managed to tear that.
The eject function is still holding up well, but I've had it for 9 months only.
The surface is still intact and button is still working.
