  • the french one is crappy compared to duolingo. i was disappointed. and duolingo spanish is unsurpassed.

    • Have a look at Memrise, really great Spanish app similar to Duolingo

      • memrise is spanish? i thought it was more like anki but with decks built in? duo seems much more refined.

        • +1

Give memrise a go, I like it more then duolingo.

        • @samfisher5986: i have. i used to go through decks on it. i found it to be too much. duo is great as long as you supplement it with some self-study, e.g. look up the basics like regular conjugations and common irregular conjugations. the natural method works best if you understand what you're practising, rather than just doing drills because the app tells you to

  • Si!

    Grassy Arse.

  • Its a nice app but doesn't exactly seem suitable for learning Spanish in the traditional sense, it didn't ask me if anything I was doing was correct, its kind of like do it yourself Spanish like you were reading a book.

The one thing it seems to excel at is the categories, I can select Travel, then Hotel, and the it gives me a list of common phrases when in the hotel that I might need.

  • Anyone can recommend a good Portuguese language (for visiting Brazil) Android app? Thank you
