It all worked for me last time.
Hard to criticise 10Gb with 6month expiry for $10.

      • +2

You mean 20GB!? ( if it was purchased on previous deal)…criticizing because of very reason deal didn't work for me…as sales rep mentioned i tried to fill all the details but gaveup at one point because there was lot to be filled…again personal choice..sharing my experience

Hi DaveD. For clarity, as per my comments at the very top of the original deal, Vodafone failed to track a lot of sales due to a technical issue at their end. We sent out this email to every member that clicked through to Vodafone from Cashrewards at that time asking them to send in their purchase reference number. We honoured every single cashback claim. So if you didn't get your cashback, you either didn't respond to the email, or didn't activate your SIM. Thanks.

Also, a small education piece if I may - please ensure your last click before purchase is from Cashrewards. Simply click Shop Now from this link and complete your purchase without leaving the Vodafone site. A lot of untracked claims come from the fact members have other tabs open and/or are using Google or comparison sites to review their product/s before purchase. All cashback/rewards sites work off a simple principle - last click. The winning affiliate is always the one that receives the last click. Thanks for your time and have a great day.

      • May be you are right…and i am wrong..but it was my first experience with cashrewards and incident put of me off, deleted my account and decided not to use cashreward again…just personal choice…was just sharing my experience..

      • I did not get the cr email doing this the last few days and I've already received my sim and activated it. Should I just enquire about it in CR?

        • You may submit a tracking enquiry once a week has passed since you placed the order.

Pretty good deal if the cash back goes through.

Also; in the T&C's says that cash back will be honoured if service remains active for 60days for prepaid

    • +2

just got my cashrewards cash back tracked email. so definately works.

      • Did you have to recharge or just left it active for 60 days?

I've had an excellent experience with any of these deals, always get the cashback promptly. Thanks for posting!

  • When does the SIM have to be activated by? Would it work on a phone instead of a tablet or modem?

    • +1

Works on a Phone. im using it on an old google nexus 6 to continue playing an android game (yes i carry an android and iphone around)

    • +4

      Phone is fine.

    • +2

Not sure why my comment was marked as off topic, all I said was - Phone is fine.
You can't get much more on topic than helping another member out so they know if the deal is suitable for them.

When does the SIM have to be activated by?

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase if you want the cashback.

  • Is there a time limit for me to activate it? Can I activate this deal in 2 months time? Thanks

    • If you want cash back yes, 30 days. If you don’t care about cash back probably no.

    • Also want to know, my SIM from the previous deal still has 4 months to go.

      Edit: Damn, answered above.

      • Yeah a lot of people will still have 3-4 months left on the previous offer.

Get back to us in 3 months time please.

I have just updated the post.
SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

  • Hi
Sorry for dumb question. I know it works on phone. But does it have phone number or it's just data only sim.

      • Thanks.
One more question. Does it mean in future let say if I need to transfer the number to optus or telstra for a full service (phone call, text, mobile data) I can keep the number?

      • +1

Mine doesn't receive texts for some reason.

        • +1

You’re right, mine doesn’t either. I just tested it. Actually mine doesn’t even let me send texts even though it says I have 30 free remaining :(

        • @sitdowndisco:

Are both you guys using this sim in a mobile phone by any chance? You have to use the Vodafone web portal to send/receive texts through a modem or maybe even in a tablet ( not sure about tablet, but can confirm modem and on my laptop ).

        • +1

          @ozhunter68: I'm using it in a phone.

        • @ozhunter68: Phone also.

          @headphonejack:

          Well,….that's why then.

  • can i use my current vodafone number for this new sim card?

    • No phone no needed…. it is a data sim only.

    • Don't think you can port Voda to Vodafone/Kogan. This is data only, so good for modems or as second sim in dual sim phone as extra data only.

  • Do these come with any included voice calls and/or sms?

    • +2

      "Mobile Data SIM"

  • +3

Thanks OP - needed one of these! Cashrewards tracking email came through 17 minutes after placing my order, FYI.

  • Can we get the cash back if received it on the last pre paid sim offer?

    • +3

      Yes, that's fine :)

  • Kogafone?

    • Vogan?

      • Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me,(with big yawning)
        As plurdled gabbleblotchits,
        On a lurgid bee,
        That mordiously hath blurted out,
        Its earted jurtles, grumbling
Into a rancid festering confectious organ squealer. [drowned out by moaning and screaming]
        Now the jurpling slayjid agrocrustles,
Are slurping hagrilly up the axlegrurts,
And living glupules frart and stipulate,
        Like jowling meated liverslime,
Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes,
        And hooptiously drangle me,
        With crinkly bindlewurdles,mashurbitries.
Or else I shall rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
        See if I don't!

  • I got this deal last time. Got the cash back. Didn't end up using the data - but got a really good phone number which I then ported across as my mobile number!

  • +1

Thanks OP. FWIW Cashrewards notification came through very quickly after buying the sim.

  • Mine was just delivered. Appears to be a normal $50 SIM starter pack, i.e. one that could be used to for a month of pre-paid phone use, unless it is somehow restricted when activated.

  • How/can cashrewards really tell whether the SIM has been activated? The 30 days from purchase is approaching and I don't want to miss out on the $15 cashback but I also would prefer to hold on to the starter pack and activate later.

To ensure you receive the cashback:

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase

BTW, I received cashrewards tracking email promptly following purchase.

How/can cashrewards really tell whether the SIM has been activated?

Hi samlor. Vodafone reports the sale and status of the transaction. They're the ones that approve/decline the transaction through to Cashrewards. If the SIM isn't activated within 30 days, they decline the cashback. Hope this helps :)
