Singapore Airlines: Perth to Bangkok Return for AU $178 @ Flight Scout

680

Lots of dates in June to pick from. Singapore Airlines is pretty good. Makes me jealous I'm not in Perth because it makes a mockey of the $214 to shit-hole Hainan deal we got.

    Wow anything for Melbourne op?

    • +5

No-one's stopping you from looking yourself.

  • +1

Oh god is this another one of those pricing errors like last year??

  • +2

    That is unbelievably cheap.

It is 1/3rd of the cost of PER-SIN on the same dates, using the same airline (SIA) and the same times, and in fact the same planes.

    Who understands airfare pricing?

    • +2

Obvious pricing error, hopefully they honour it like last time

  • +1

    looks like BYOJet price error

  • Great post, it is going to be a pricing error but would jump on it if it weren't for 10 nights.

You could also view this as a deal for $360 return to Singapore on SQ (bail out at Changi on each leg, you'd have to purchase 2 tickets though)

    • Tickets do not work that way. You'd be able to get to SIN if you somehow manage to talk the check in agent into not checking your bags all the way through to BKK. However you'll be stranded in SIN if you bought your tickets that way.

      • No checking luggage and 2 one-way trips as suggested would work.

Also, it depends on the airline. Eg. All AirAsia tickets are point-to-point so you can pull out and your ‘return’ is not affected.

        • +1

Whilst that would work on AirAsia it wouldn't work for SQ, the fare is exPER and wouldn't work the other way exBKK so you can't just buy two of these fares and use them as one ways. Also if it did work the otherway around you can't buy an exBKK ticket and not fly the BKK-SIN portion and only the SIN-PER let. No showing for the BKK-SIN leg will cancel all other legs and the coupons cannot be flown out of sequence.

  • cannot be booked; getting error;
The airline was not able to confirm your flights and no payment has been taken. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

    • Same. Except they won't accept PayPal. Won't issue a BPay invoice and my cc was compromised and haven't received new one yet.

Anyone keen to road trip Sydney to Perth, so we can get onto this deal.
Or sail there on my catamaran, to save on fuel cost :)

  • Tried to book on both byojet and aunt betty. Does not work.

“Makes me jealous I'm not in Perth“

I don’t know why you would be jealous for bangkok deals. That place is full of aussie bogans.

      • -1

better than being surrounded by aussies in australia

    • +4

Where would you suggest to go then?

      • -8

I can’t suggest because your travel budgets are too low.

Stay a home would be my only appropriate suggestion.

        • +4

Maybe you should have a look at this.

Bangkok is great, you don't have to stay in the backpacker armpit of the city.

      • +1

No, the entire city is an armpit. It’s like North Queensland after a hurricane.

    • Still better than bali..

    • -1

8 million+ people, and it's full of Aussies.

      Jesus wept!

    • No thanks.

    • +2

Bangkok can be fun without running into bogans

    • +10

Well, the starting point is Perth, a foundation source of bogans.

      • OMG so true. 😂

  • Pricing error appears to have been fixed.
I have had a ticket cancelled on me before by the airline when I booked a pricing error fare.
Be sure you don't pre-pay or book non refundable accommodation of you bought this fare.

  • +1

    Great find @Chroma

Did anyone manage to lock in some tickets at this price?

I have been building travel booking systems for many years and sometimes the airline will honour the deal to save the bad PR, sometimes the airline will just cancel them all. Usually SQ deals with it better than others.

@JudoChop is very correct about hotels, either book cancellable or wait a couple of weeks to make sure the tickets aren’t cancelled.

    • I did. My fingers are crossed.

      • Sad face. Aunt Betty messaged to cancel and refund. It was a nice dream while it lasted.

        • +1

That’s unfortunate, did you get a confirmation PNR (6 letter) booking reference?

        • @flightscout: I did. Does this mean I can keep dreaming in some way for another few hours?

        • -1

If you got a PNR that was from the airline so it was ticketed, it’s unusual for Singapore Air to not honour them. You could always give them a call direct, quote that booking reference and ask what happened.

        • @flightscout: Thank you very much. I will follow up and let you know how I go!

  • I was not able to book this deal.

    • The pricing errors have been fixed, it takes some time for the system to recognise this and remove those prices from the site.

  • not there anymore
