DeLonghi Dolce Gusto Piccolini Coffee Machine $19 @ Target (Very Limited Stock)

60

Machine is going at AUD19, cheaper than the recent deals from Amazon AU (approx AUD25 delivered).

I did a quick search of stock availability in Sydney, NSW and it seems very few places have them. Eg, Parramatta, Epping, Hornsby…) Not too sure about other states.

Best to call the stores and check for stock before going down.

I got this for free with the Tip Top Crumpet promotion awhile back. It is ok however the pods on the Dolce Gusto's are so damn expensive (55cents/coffee) and rarely go on special.

    • damn i was hoping they would go on special more often. There are some websites that offer better value for compatible pods, so i suggest having a look online

    • Woolies have an ongoing promotion for dolce gusto capsules (46c/cap). It looks reasonable to me. But if we are comparing DG with other brands, then I do agree it is more expensive. Cheaper alternative is to buy a reusable capsule.

      • I never used this machine before, so could some one please confirm the best way to prepare Cappuccino? Use the reusable pods to add milk powder or add milk directly? TIA.

        • As far as I know, Cappuccino is prepared by adding steamed milk foam to double espresso. I personally prefer to use my frother for steamed fresh milk and pour into my coffee, it tastes different from using milk powder.

    • Probably a stupid question, but don't these pod machines all use the same pods? Or does this have a specific pod you have to buy ?

55c / coffee, compared to nespresso which is a minimum of 67c / coffee?

Mind you I've tried every pod system now (except the Aldi one) and for 33c / coffee (pods are often on sale in Woolworths for $4 or less) I think the espressotoria system is pretty good.

      • The aldi ones are decent, they're twice the size of nespresso pods (more coffee) and are 37.5c per pod, $6 for 16 per pack.

      • 67c /coffee meh..

LOR (nespresso compatible pods) bulk pack are always on sale @ costco work out to 33cents/pod

Then there are also other options like Perfecto at 39cents a pod.

  • Got one from the Amazon sale for $14 delivered.

    • How to get the $14 one?

It was the full 60% off sale + the $10 amazon voucher they gave out, its expired now though.

I think the 60% off sale is still running.
