$14.95 postage and no stock near me.

    • no stock from the 6 stores near me., $14.95 delivery in melbourne, ouch …. probably not too bad for Wahl though,

lithium AA battery, not rechargeable, must be the long life heavy duty throw away ones.

Woot - got one C&C. I was using one of the Gillette fusion trimmers for this and its pretty ordinary.

Had anyone noticed this one in the right bottom corner of live chat? "Hello Ozbargainer - Need any advice, talk to a expert now." :)

      You must be new here.

        never noticed this one prior…

      I'm offended.

They should be addressing us as "professionals"

Who the hell do they think they are?!?

  • C&C Chadstone. They still have some.

    Thank you, OP!

  • C&C Moorabbin store. They still have some.

Is this any good to use on me nads? It's the long weekend and all gotta look good!

    • +1

      long weekend

      I lol'ed

  • is this thing rechargeable?

    • No, it uses 2x non-rechargeable lithiums AA's

      • +2

It's probably cheaper to buy another one when the batteries die rather than buying new batteries.

        • It isn't.

  • How much are these normally?

    • Wahl Wa5606. Average price on ebay seems to be $30.

  • +1

I brought a Wahl clipper for $120, this was 13 years ago.It has paid itself many times more with 7-9 hair cuts each year. No problems with it.
Got One, C&C Chadstone. Thanks OP!

  • Perfect - I rarely shave and usually only trim my facial hair. Just bought one pickup at Chaddy.

  • doesn't look like any in sydney for C&C :(

    • There are some but would you be really willing to travel 30 minutes and back? The delivery is $5!

      • where?

  • +1

thanks OP! nabbed one C&C for dad :)

  • +1

Not a great trimmer, grabs occasionally and does not give an even cut. $5 is probably priced right.

    • Not good for trimming the bush? Honest question.

      • LOL

          Lol nice username

      • +1

Get the Philips body groomer for that.

Remember this is Hardly Normal you're dealing with so the batteries on these things is likely to have a high failure rate or they wouldn't be discounting.
Probably being charged to dump now so they will roll the dice.
Keep the receipt or just don't waste your time

They have rechargeable AA batteries, so presumably you should be able to just replace them with either another pair of rechargeable AAs or even just regular AAs?

      • no charger is mentioned as part of the content so doubt they are rechargeable lithiums, just long life heavy duty.

        • So even easier then. Just replace shitty rechargeable batteries with better ones or non-rechargeable ones.

      • They come with a pair of non-rechargeable Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA's… It would 'probably' work ok with Eneloops or the likes, it would just run slower I assume…

      • They probably explode in your face in balls of fire then

P.S. whatever you do , don't Google this

  • I'd like one but the idea of using one of Harvey's trimmers repulses me

Technically speaking, the idea of anything that uses 1.5V batteries is also repulsive in this day and age.

  • product page no longer available.. ozbargained

  • Shame its not a rechargeable type.

  • just got a call that the shop is out of stock and I'll get a refund… :(

    • Same :(

    • Which shop?

      • Moorabbin VIC store

  • +1

Thanks op, just got the email to c&c for my order.. \ (•◡•) /

  • Damm - I purchased the same ones from Shaver Shop last week for $15 (catalogue sale - down from $30)

Seems to work ok, but have never used a beard trimmer before (always used the full size Wahl hair clippers for trimming beard with mixed results)

  • +1

    "Beard" Trimmer.

  • +1

who trims their beard, grow it baby

  • I just got a refund email, and I think I might of been one of the first to order after the posting. Has anyone actually picked one up yet?

    • Yeah, but I called the store in the morning and picked up in the evening. Definitely more reliable than using their click and collect option.

      • +1

Sounds like you did the manual version of click and collect lol

  • i got one, but it reminded me of why i don't shop at hardly normal (apart from the high prices).

soon as i walked in the store, random salesman "oh is that the s9+", "optus are doing 'refunds' if you sign up to a plan". i was stunned. wtf? then i was royally jerked around in trying to pick it up.

shaver works barely ok. i don't care if it lasts, it's a travel shaver (light and can just buy batteries anywhere). a bargain. an ozbargain.

  • this thing works great, I used to use a no brand bread trimmer with AAA batteries, lasted about 3 years but I got it wet a couple times.

  • Refund email for me.

  • rang Harvey "Gerry, why hasn't my trimmer arrived, says was shipped a week ago"

Gerry responded "it is being shipped from WA and you are in Victoria, please be patient should arrive next week"

    explains 2 things
1- postage was $15 …. because they shipped it from WA not NSW or Vic, if they want to be in the online business it should be flat rate across Australia.
2- from WA to Victoria via Austpost ….. so will be 10 days …. not only was postage $15, but they must have chose a real cheap option …. they are probably sent by the store and I was unlucky, a Sydney or Melbourne store would have been cheaper.

be dumb if they sent one from Victoria to WA at the same time.
The benefits of buying from a franchise …..
