      Most likely, these are port-in and port-out deals so you can port out to Kogan or another cheap prepaid plan after the month is over

        Do people actually do that for one month!?
        Last time couple of times I've taken up a prepaid deal off OZb Groupon/amaysim never sent my sim and Vaya threatened to report me to a credit agency for $50 worth of made up fees.

          This is a one month offer with more than 8GB of extra data, you could video chat for a week. In case you go for a one year locked offer, you save more than the international credit you get here, I personally use Google voice and Skype, especially when it is half price.
          By the way, with the internet cheap (just not cheap in Australia) and available everywhere and so many VoIP and messenger apps, the phone calls are so yesterday.
