I've been using Kaspersky's 3PCx1yr product (bought through SaveOnIT) for the past three years and their keys have been fine. I was looking to renew for $12, but saw this. For $1 more, ESET is in my opinion a better pick.

    I would say it is better than nothing. After being an avid fan of ESET over the years, I am now not too sure about its effectiveness (or any antivirus) in stopping ransomware after our work computer was compromised. ESET failed to detect it but Malwarebytes upon a later test. My story is similar to this one. So my preference for ease of use and cost is Windows 10 Defender and Malwarebytes Premium now.

      I have a similar experience but with Windows Defender letting me down, so decided to go paid especially on computers that do banking etc.

      I've heard good things about Malwarebytes but used it years ago and wasn't impressed, so I guess YMMV - they all miss a percentage of things and likely most (all?) of them aren't going to help against zero-day attacks…

      i'm also using Malwarebytes in combination with AVG Free.The reason I'm considering this is because i'm sorta new to online banking (been buying online a lot lately) and i'm concerned about security. I thought Malewarebytes doesn't really protect this aspect hence AVG. Would you guys know how AVG free will hold up against ESET? (i'm noob btw)

    If you bothered to open up the main link that's in the post thread you will find that one is 3 PC 1 Year for $13.

    You opened up that second link which does lead to the 1 PC 1 Year for $8.

      If online you gotta pay for shipping.

      Purchased a few times from Auburn store no question asked and I don't think they care about the OEM requirements, they will sell anything rather than gathering dust.

  Deal still valid which is handy. I had Kaspersky but it made the PC rather slow, ESET seems to be pretty good. Bargain, just watch out for their renewal prices.
