If you are in the market for a pair of budget 2.1 computer speakers you could do a lot worse than picking up a pair of these.

Just got mine and am very, very pleased with the sound quality for the money.

Sure there are better PC speaker systems out there (eg. 5.1 setups like the z5500) but for economical 2.1 speakers I haven't seen anything this good.

$59.95 delivered is a steal given the box is pretty big and heavy. I suspect postage would be in the $10 range from most stores.

Best price on Staticice looks to be around $78 + delivery fees.

    How do these compare to the Altec Lansing BXR1221A 2.1 system? They're $59 at JB Hi Fi and $49 on eBay. I compared both on Testfreaks.com and the Z523s come out better, but was curious to know if anyone here has had experience with both?

      nope.. logitechshop is somehow affiliated with Fluidtek. not sure how though. but they're a legit company. :)

      You might want to list this as a seperate bargain. Especially considering that these guys have already sold out on 523s (when I checked there were no new listings)

    Is this better than the x530 5.1 speakers, which is actually a tad cheaper

      A look through some googling compared to the x230.. and supposedly these offer slightly better sound quality with slightly tighter bass. But they also offer a bit extra with the 360 degree sound tech and while cust. reviews are saying it's not as great as Logitech says, it's better than nothing. But it's still not going to give you the 530's surround. Overall I'd say maybe look into getting the previously linked set if you're looking to upgrade without stepping up to something other than Logitech (hint hint Edifier :P)

    Just curious to know if all of these types of speaker setups are all wired or wireless?
    The last surround sound speakers I had, had wires and they were a little bit of a pain to work around to the back of the room.

    Why would LTS's ebay price be lower than LTS's own website price - what's the angle?
    Logitech is somehow enforcing online price (but not ebay price) - I would think that illegal, no?

    Does anyone know the story behind LTS? I know it's the same owner as Fluidtek but apart from that? Somehow an official reseller of Logitech or affiliated at all? I don't care either way tbh just genuinely curious.

      You wont get a straight answer for this but basically LTS = Fluidtek

      LTS was like Fluidteks second head, aka hitchhikers guide, now it seems its grown its own body.

    Got some speakers from officeworks today. Told them jb hifi had 30% off logitech and they didn't ask jb shelf price just gave me the 30% off their price $60 at jb $32 from officeworks…… may have been lucky but could work again and they band an extra 5% off as company policy so 35% off logitech at officeworks :)
