    Special mention OP you left out "for iOS" which might mean the inline controls won't work for android and Windows phones and basically non iOS products.

    I know it's only $1.15 AUD but it can be a deal breaker.

    I made this same mistake recently with a much costlier purchase and am paying the price for it now trying to get rid of it.

          I've had cheap earphones 'for IOS' in the past and they worked fine with android, so ¯|_(ツ)_/¯

          @xev: nice to know. I bought some Sennheiser HD 471i missed the i and they don't have volume control or music skipping ability with my Android tablet. My mistake but still a bad purchase on my behalf.

          For those watching from home the Sennheiser HD 471G is the Android variant that works with Android phones and devices etc.

          Ah well next time.

          @AlienC: My feeling with these is that the are advertised as 'for IOS' as something to make them special, when they are just normal everyday earphones like all the rest of the cheap earphones.

          To me, the biggest selling point of these is the little case they come in, better for keeping in a bag as a backup pair.
