    The i5 128GB variant is $355 more https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/laptops/dell/del…

Thought this was the same one initially :(

  • Am I required to buy win10 or does it come with it?

      Windows will be pre-installed.

      • Thanks, I am looking for a laptop like this for a present for my mum.
Do you think this is a good deal in comparison to everything out there in this price range?

        • There were a couple Acer with 8th gen Intel shipped from Amazon US just under $1k.

        • I would consider the link above with i5 CPU.

        • Depend on her usage, would you consider a Chromebook for half the price?

  • 4gb is going to be painful. Can youvadd another 4gb in?

Going to 8GB is no problem, videos on YouTube

      • Info says: 4GB, 2400MHz, DDR4, up to 16GB (additional memory sold separately)
It even has 8gb as minimum requirement. WTH?
Suppose to be easy enough DIY?

Looks like it's as easy as removing half a dozen screws and popping it in. Should be a 5 minute job.

      • Adding 4GB maxes out the ram slots (assuming it has 2) which means you'll tie yourself up with a max of 8GB. Might worth getting 8GB though, or better yet, if buyer doesn't mind refurbished, there's a $799 Dell Inspiron (i5-8250U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) at Dell Outlet

  • I’m looking for laptop not too heavy, something like an Mac air
    But no more Mac!!

    • Xiaomi make a really good laptop. You'll need to re-install Windows if you don't want the Mandarin bits in it, but from what I've read, they're a really good laptop for the money. The battery is especially impressive.

EDIT: I take it back. The latest version of this one has a pretty average battery. - https://www.techradar.com/reviews/xiaomi-mi-notebook-air-133…
