        I dont think you can trade codes at any physical stores. I think people sell them on ebay.
        An interesting hack/bargain which I have used many times though, which can be effective if you have a CEX (entertainment exchange) store nearby, is to search through online listings at webuy.com (CEX Website) , then call EB games to check if some of the titles at CEX store, can be bought, then traded for much more at eb games.
        It worked much better when CEX had flat rate of delivery, for entire order was $7, even if you ordered 100 $1 discs delivered from different stores.
        Now, you would want to filter search ro check local store stock in searches, or else you pay $3 per disc.
        1 title which did often work for this hack/deal, was the sports titles like nba2k17 fifa-17 . As soon as new one came out, last years would drop so much, that you could buy at CEX for about $10, trade at Eb for about $20, because Eb hadn't changed their pricing yet on it, but CEX changes pricing daily according to buy/sell rates etc.
        Easiest use of CEX to trade with Eb games is when EB do a trade 2 games for ps4 Crash Bandicoot, type deals. I checked CEX for absolute cheapest ps4/XB1 titles, were like $4,$5 each, (old fifa) then I traded with EB to get new Crash Bandicoot pre-order at a great price.
        I got my ps4 when it was first out using similar technique. Worked out about $99 for ps4 with 12 month psPlus card also.
        I had to trade with multiple stores for that one though, then combine vouchers into one deal/purchase of the $599 ps4.
        *EB has limit 2 of any 1 title. But 2 fifa16-xbox1 2 fifa16-ps4 are OK.
        *CEX accepts maximum 4 of 1 item (though depending on store staff, they can decide to contact head office and ask for special pricing on multiples, where head office will offer usually 10% less) . If they say they want you to wait for head office special pricing, just say you dont want to wait, and sell them 1.
        *JB Hi Fi, I think there rule is also 2 of each title per seller. Again 2 on ps4 2 on XB1 is technically different title.

    I actually got a AC IV: Black Flag/AC: Unity dual code game card for 5cents nearly 2 years ago. If you have friends who work in retail (and specifically the technology departments) they should clue you in to when the stores have to clear out the old/unused code slips (that were given with now discontinued console bundles). When I was saving up to be an Xbox One console I jumped at the chance to get those two games plus a few others (Tomb Raider, Fifa, Gears of War: UE, Forza 5 etc) for less than a dollar.

      How does this work ? ie. Do they put them on front counter or in discount bin with these clearance prices of under $1 ? (And put 1 aside fot you, because you asked friend) .
      Or is this like not available to public at all really, and your friend at tech stores gift them to you, and say like "oh give me 5 cents for it" .

        @ozzpete It's an employee/in store behind the counter thing. Staff know about it and pass the word on. I have friends in retail stores that have done this over the years it's legal and head office apparently give it the ok. I have to buy something with the codes for the transactions of the cards to go through….. I've just purchased something small (mini chocolate bar etc).

    Have played all the AC series games. This particular game has so many bugs and glitches, that players should be paid/compensated to play this game. You will go nuts playing this game.

      Yes it's a security feature for all brand new accounts where you have to enter your mobile phone number to receive a PIN number through SMS in order to enter it into the system before it will allow you to receive your cd key.

    For someone who has never played an Assassin's Creed game, is this a good entry point?

    From a quick google, it appears the game was an absolute mess at launch, but was later fixed. Still, it doesn't appear to be rated very highly in rankings of AC games (Origins, Brotherhood and Black Flag appear to be the favourites). Some say Unity is the best visually, but nobody seems to say it is a particularly good AC game.

    Better off trying one of the other three? (Origins, Brotherhood and Black Flag)

      ^Yeah, I guess my circumstances are very particular - I have an unopened Xbox (from the Minecraft sale), which I am still undecided whether to open and use as a media player and part time console (I already have a Switch) or just sell it and buy a cheaper media player or Shield TV. I had been wanting a second media player, and had originally planned to buy a Shield TV or another Mibox - when the Minecraft Xbox came up, I jumped on it, when I saw Kodi had been brought back to Xbox.

      So it's not just $0.75 to me, it's trying to find an excuse to open an unopened $220 Xbox! (Fiance won't be very happy!) :)

      If it was the best game of the series, sure, I might be happy to bust open the Xbox for it. If it's not, perhaps I'm better off selling the Xbox, and buying Origins on PC. Get me?

      Absolutely fair point for most people though!

        TBH its probably the worst of the series with AC3 right behind

        The Ezio timeline was probably the best, with Origins right next to it. from there idk maybe Black flag, Freedoms Cry and Syndicate. Its been a long time since i played the first AC game and I have not played Rogue yet

    Personally would go with Origins at $42.07. Just getting into it myself, but apparently the best A.C. game to date. Or you can get Unity for free with Forza Horizon 3 with the Hot wheels dlc.

        AC Unity used to be the bundled game with older Xbox One consoles, usually kept outside the box of the console. When the promo would finish, these cards (AC Unity code) would be left behind and later sold for $0.01.
