I prefer the 200g for $2 for my one bag ration :p

    • …yep thats the only thing wrong with this deal…100g wont cut it for a decent burger ring hit ;)

Whenever I eat these the roof of my mouth goes really dry… and the pack is empty afterwards.

  • Burger Rings first Introduced 1974; 44 years ago

…was thinking how burger rings have been around as long as i can remember…still have the odd bag here and there for nostalgia :D

    • Now, where did those 'Bacon Crisps' go from when I was back in school?

Guys this is the best way to find out if your girlfriend is a gold digger. Buy a pack of these, kneel and propose with a burger ring.

If she still says yes, she's a keeper. If no, RUN to the nearest church and thank god for saving you.

    • Love it when my girlfriend slips her finger into my salty ring.

      • +5

        Comedian over here folks

      • love it when mine plays with my cheese and bacon balls

  • How much are they usually?

  • Does anyone remember the short lived Cheese Burger Rings in the 1980s?

    What about Toobs???

      It isn't fair.

    • toobs are the bomb

Upvoted for putting the ingredients in the description.

    Burger Rings have 27.7% fat.

    • Excellent!

  • Well, there you have it; no burgers, no rings…

MSG and Maltodextrin are the few of the slow poisons to start with
why we eat this shit seriously!!!
few examples below what it could do to your body

    migraine

    asthma

    fatigue

    depression

    insomnia

    shakes

    dehydration

    brain fog

    headaches

    nausea

    dizziness

    numbness

    heart palpitations and

    skin irritations.

    • But they taste good!! And no one is suggesting eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. Although that would be a fairly cheap way to live with this deal.

    • +4

      MSG being bad is debunked.
saying MSG is bad because some people are more glutamate sensitive is saying peanuts are bad since some people are deathly allergic.

a lot of foods contain MSG and its shown that even added MSG can reduce your sodium intake if used well since umami is so potent. still gotta be weary since too much of anything is always bad so relax and enjoy.

      • +2

MSG is also in many natural things like

        Kelp
        Green tea
        Parmesan cheese
        Roquefort cheese
        Mushrooms
        Cheddar cheese
        Tomato
        Clams
        Peas
        Potatoes
        Scallops
        Squid
        Oysters
        Corn

Do you drink alcohol or drinks containing caffeine?

All of the things you listed can be caused by those.

      The website additivefreekids.com.au/6-reasons-to-avoid-flavour-enhancers/
Is not a scientific website and their claims are generally wrong and misleading.

Flavour enhancers are banned in infant foods

      Untrue

It is a proven fact that MSG and other flavour enhancers are highly addictive.

Like sugar, fat and salt - all are naturally occurring

After eating this toxic chemical your taste buds are left craving more and more.

      Taste buds dont crave things

Numerous researchers around the world are using MSG as a tool to create obese rats and mice to carry out research on. That’s right!

      No they dont.

The 1976 study injected 3mg/g of MSG into rats.
If a person weighs 80kg that would be the same as injecting them with 240 grams of MSG!

This is definitely not the most common model of obesity used in a laboratory setting
The fact that MSG had to be injected rather than given orally to get the effect may indicate that the obesity is rather a consequence of the stress due to the injection. Exposure to high level of glucocorticoids (the "stress hormones") during the perinatal period (pregnancy and lactation) has been linked to adult cardiovascular diseases and obesity in both rodents and human.

With there being so many names and numbers that are or contain processed free glutamates it can seem like an impossible task to avoid it!

Processed glutamates are identical to those found in nature. Natural glutamates are in foods we all eat every day.

      • I understand thank you for clarifying
        i'm not doctor
but i do believe in one thing
not to eat highly processed foods
as i think eating as much as natural could keep you healthy
now a days all we love is packaged food or stuff that has high fat, sugar or salt contents
thats all i wanted to say
i used to eat lot of this and many more junk
but learned it hard way so never again i'm touching this junk
        so thats all
its never ending discussion but your health is in your hand
        good luck

        • +3

          That's okay.

I agree with you, highly processed/packaged foods generally have high amounts of fat, sugar and salt.
But at the same time they are no worse than anything else you can get that isn't highly processed.
A risotto at a restaurant is going to have lots of fat from butter and cream and salt from stock.
Yoghurt and berries for breakfast will give you a lot of sugar, even more with a glass of orange juice.
A healthy looking boost juice has more sugar in it than coke.

It's also easy to scare people with processed foods because they need to tell you what is in them.
E120 sounds scary as it is a number but it is red dye produced naturally form insects.
E336 is baking powder, some people probably happily add it to cakes but worry when they see it on the ingredient list.
          E260 is vinegar
E210 is a preservative that occurs in cranberries

Eat sensibly and you'll be fine! :)

    Thanks Detective Pikachu OP.

I hauled my ass to my nearest Coles and busted open a packet (after purchase) in your yellow furry name.

it always amuses me that burger rings smell/taste nothing like any burgers i've ever had.

    • You're what they call easily amused.

      • lol

  • I'm gonna get fat….

    • -2

Past your lips and straight to your hips. You don't have to buy them but some people can't help themselves that is why I have said fast food and junk food deals should be banned from oz bargain, it only temps people to live unhealthily.

  • The Cheetos i’m familiar with are those cheese sticks sold in the US.

  • God I wish Toobs were still around. Much better than Burger Rings.
