I have other ones too… e.g Momentum Energy

      I've got a Jax tyres offer - spend $400 get $100 back

  • I got notification with Jax tyres a few days ago, spend $400 and save $100 and they currently have a few options of cashbacks or buy 3 get 1 free promos too

    • And their prices are quite competitive. Also you can see them online. I have been a couple of times. Bob Jane wouldn’t even match their price saying it’s below cost they might as well buy it from Jax.

    • Does Amex still have the direct registration link for these? I don't see JAX in my app (but would like it), but I've been able to register on the website with the URL in the past for things I didn't have listed.

I think it is targeted, two other Amexs of mine have not received this yet

The main reason that I have my Amex is for the offers but a) the offers so far this year have been rubbish and b) I hardly get offered any of the ones (like this one) that everyone else seems to get. Way to go for treating g a customer who puts all his personal expenses and all his business expenses on Amex and spends $400 per year for the privelege.

The $400 is offset in travel credit. And you'll be rolling around in a zillion points due to business expenses.

      What's there to complain about!

      • I agree with you but note it's very hard to find anything of any value on their travel website. Everything is over priced so I don't feel I'm getting the full $400 "free" from amex to recover the card fee.

        • I've checked Qantas, virgin, Singapore Airlines. They've all been the same price

        • I've also managed to find some (not many) sweet spots for hotels on AMEX travel. Cheaper than Hotels, Expedia, etc. What I'll miss will only be a ~5-10% cashback from cash rewards or promo codes.

        • Yeah the hotels are all over priced and you have to spend ALL of the $400 at once. Flights have been my only option.

        • @daft009: well I prefer LCC . I know the flying experience is different but If I use qantas/sin, I don’t feel I’m getting the value on Amex travel knowing I can get something cheaper flying scoot / air Asia.

        • @Blahness: yeah there are no LCC on there.
Twice I've booked Jetstar direct they've cancelled my flight and I've missed meetings so I don't do LCC anymore.

You can also book for family and friends which is good.

I also have the platinum edge with $200 travel credit and rewards linked

  • Do you have to pay the amount in full using the Amex to qualify? I have a gift card at one of the stores

    • Need to spend the minimum, the rest can come from anywhere

    • Delete already answered

  • I got momentum energy too… good timing to spread my next bill over 4 cards

    • Except Momentum Energy don't take AMEX, at least not for direct debit in Victoria?

    • Any chance of sharing the direct link? Would appreciate it!

      • Happy to if someone can help me with how it's done. It just came up on my mobile app.

        • I actually have no idea either… people just seem to post them all the time!

  • Any recognisable black market wines at Vinomofo?

  • +3

I’m not getting the Vinomofo offer. Link?

    • I can't find it too

  • +2

    Same no longer there

  • +1

AMEX not really bringing their A-game with the deals so far this year. Maybe they're saving it all for a big splash later.

    • +1

Be nice if they returned shop small to 10 per card not 5.

  • When I logged in to the online portal there was another offer - Plush Sofas spend $500 get $120.

Can someone please post a direct link to the Momentum deal? Thanks!

    • can't find it either

  • I can see it on my amex app.

  • Does this work combined with afterpay?

  • today is the last day of the accent footwear offer.

    +

  • How long did the credit from Accent Group Footwear offer take to post?

    • spent on 5th, got $20 back on 6th.

      • Which brand? I bought at Hype DC in-store

        • Was for online only. Was merryl
          You won't get anything for in-store :(
