Seedling Baby Paddle Pants (Reusable Swim Nappy) $4 Posted @ Apikali

280

$4 reusable swim nappy posted. Available in tangerine or grape colour. One size fits most - for newborn up to 16kg. A 12 pack of Huggies disposable swim nappies at Woollies sells for $14.95 so you've kind of saved money after 4 uses.

The OSFM option is not as good a fit around the legs as a sized nappy, so if your kid tends to Code Brown at the swimming pool these may not be the right choice for you. For those that have not used a swim nappy before - they catch solids and not liquids - and therefore would recommend changing your kid into the nappy just before you get into the pool and not before the car ride there or you'll be washing your car seat later!

Specs:
Type: Swim nappy
Cover: Cotton PUL
Lining: Polyester
Fixing: Snap
Sizing: OSFM
Manufacturing: China
Warranty: 6 months

Limit 4 per person.

These have worked really well for us. My son's nine months old now but has been using them since he was three months old. Just bought another pair - thanks OP.

    • Sweet.
We are due in 2 months so I’ll grab a few

Tangello colour seems to be out of stock

    Barnaby!

  • Awesome. I use the disposable Coles ones…but I reuse them for several months.

  • Thanks I grabbed 2. Can’t wait to test it in the public pool with all the other little turds

The point of swim nappies is to keep the poo contained. If these can't do that then…erm…what are they for?

    • I guess it's about chance and risk! I meant if you have a frequent pooer, the reviews suggest you might feel safer with a fitted nappy. Although even the best of nappies are not guaranteed…

  • Do they come in man size?

    • Man-child size? Sure

We've had one of these for ages. Works beautifully, though we've never had an absolute disaster in them to check their total efficacy. But for getting house->pram->pool without the swimmers/pram/car getting wee'd all over, sensational.

Can also chuck in a bamboo insert for additional absorbency during those travels. $4 can't be beat. Also, apikali are legit, we bought stacks of nappy-related gear off them over the last few years.

  • Sold out! I had it in my cart, clicked next and it said my cart was empty. Tried to add it again and can’t add it to cart, it’s sold out! Damn, really wanted one too as we already have one and they really good.

    • I missed it too, was in the.carf and then was gone. Oh well, we’ll never know if they would have been good for our ‘user’.

  • Teabags for turds. Lovely.

  • Does this come in a Wystri size?

  • Goddamn who's gonna wash away the shit?

    • +1

      the washing machine.

Who washes it away with cloth nappies?

No self-respecting OzBargainer would throw away money on disposable nappies when you can save so much money with cloth ones.

      • But you still need to wash away the big chunks before you can throw it into washing machine

        • Well, yes. That’s part and parcel of having a baby.

        • @marlor:

Not with disposable nappies it's not! Pretty sure you'll find that's their appeal

        • @OzBragain:

If you're that squeamish, don't bother with a baby. You'll end up dealing with far worse than a bit of poo.

        • @marlor:

Your condescending comment is noted. I can see you're another one of these know it all parents who can't accept anyone doing it differently.

I have two kids and love spending time with them (most of the time). Have cleaned poo and vomit out of carpet, sheets, car seats, clothes, hair, baths, showers and off walls and floors…even helped clean projectile poo out of a hospital chair and my wife's handbag once (this one was actually pretty funny).

None of these compare to watching the colour drain from my wife as she miscarried more than once on our bedroom floor (it's quite messy if you haven't sat through one).

While I didn't enjoy any of these events I think it's fairly safe to say I'm by no means squeamish. That said I'll still do all I can to avoid any interaction with human poo.

Raising children is not cheap. Disposable nappies are something we budget into the cost and as you may have noticed, I don't take kindly to patronising judgements of my choices.

  • Sold out. Luckily the Huggies swim nappies are machine washable and reusable as well.

    • Are you sure huggies little swimmers are reusable? I always thought they are disposable swim nappies.

      • yep. you can wash them heaps of times. they're non absorbent so the wash just cleans them and they dry up just as good as new.

        • Wow, that’s amazing! Will try that next time I buy a pack for bub :)
