Op beat me to it with his edit. Just bought 1 as a backup for my desktop.

  • SanDisk 240GB has been price jacked to $109 with discount. :(

Edit: but pc.byte have it for $94.40.

    • Ah that's a shame. Have updated the post

  • Hi, just wondering which one is better overall?
    MX500 250GB or SanDisk 240GB SSD

I did a bit of research recently for a new "value" SSD for my iMac and essentially was looking in order of preference:

      Samsung 850 > Samsung 860 > Crucial MX500 > Crucial MX300 > Intel 545S

Sandisk didn't make the cut. I'm not an expert.

I ended up nabbing a Samsung 850 500gb for $191 delivered on eBay this morning but that particular one has been price jacked since then.

      • thanks. appreciate :)

        • HAve used the Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB drives a couple of times, and they are quite good.

Unless you do benches, you'd think they were super fast.

I'd call them one of the best bang for buck 240GB SSD's on the market.

  • good price
