      It doesn't NEED a subwoofer. The "subwoofer" on supermarket soundbar packages are not subwoofers, they simply provide the normal range of bass which is missing from the soundbar itself. A subwoofer additional to this would always be welcome, to provide sub-bass reproduction.

      The playbar + sub is okay. Just okay. Technically you don't need the bass module but it sounds flat and empty without it. For reference the Bose soundbar for $999 sounds nice and does not NEED the optional subwoofer.

    What's the point of referencing the RRP when you admitted to selling them for $1399 previously? Title should read .. $999 (Was $1399).

    Was $1399 on 4 April 2018

    I found that Hi-fi brand soundbars are typically a bit quirky on the connectivity, and indeed this one lacks any form of HDMI let alone HDMI-CEC.

    In other words you will be using two separate remotes and/or manually turning on/off and adjusting volume; plus you would need to ensure your TV has a digital audio out.

        Lol relax bro. It's in the specs link posted by the OP:

        The rear panel on the Motion Vision X has digital optical, digital coaxial, and analog stereo inputs

        Since none of those carry power on/off signals you are stuck with 2 remotes for volume and power unless you have a universal remote, though I thought most OzBargainers would have a Logitech Harmony by now :)

        The last point is also valid, for best audio quality you would want a TV with digital out.

    Thanks OP - looks like a good deal for anyone in the market. Agree with other comments though that the price in title should reference your current sale price rather than - or in addition to - RRP.

    It has 12 x 33mm speakers. It’s very compact. A 30 watt 5.25” sub woofer. HDMI, headphone port, USB. Great reviews. Looks interesting. They say June delivery.
