  • how does the spout works ?

    • +1

Hang it over the edge. Remove the top blue cap to allow air in. Remove the clear cap and press a rubber button. Kinda like a drink dispenser.

    Pity it's fairly crap detergent.

    • +1

Choice disagree. 78% from them. Link

Yeah Dynamo has changed the formula and now its crap.

Doesn't wash as well and read reports it leaves sludge all through your washing machine.

Better to try OMO or Aldi Trimat.

I make my own washing powder with ground soap (or soap flakes), borax and washing soda.

Best thing about it is no "washing powder" smell.

        • Do you have the recipe?

        • @jlogic: This was the last batch I made. :

2 Cups Harper's Borax (not sold at Woolworths but I found some at an IGA)
2 Cups Lectric Washing Soda (Woolworths)
          3 bars of Pure Soap.

Pre-grated soap would eliminate most of the labour involved, not sure which supermarket chain(s) sell it. I grated the bars in a food processor. Alternatively you can microwave the bars. Once cooled down they crumble due to way they liquefy and boil. Good ventilation required.

Here's someone's blog post with pictures included.

        • @Cleremy: how is the stain removal like?

        • @jlogic: Haven't conducted any side-by-side comparisons but I believe the Borax is added for stain removal purposes.
Napi-san (sodium percarbonate) would still be the best for stain removal purposes as far as I'm aware.

        Biozet is also good.

    • One of the worst laundry liquid I ever used, couldn't believe after the wash, all the clothes still stinks, anyone can suggest a better brand than this crap please?

Saw quite a few comments about the new formula….

    • +1

Can confirm the new formula smells like vomit. It's the same smell you get from Hershey's chocolate.
      It is awful, steer clear!

I'll stick to Aldi's $1.49 for 2L stuff. You do use a little more but it does the job at perhaps a third of the cost factoring in use of more liquid.

    • +1

Totally agreed. I've been using it as well, and these deals make little sense to me (no offense to the OP though). For $1.49 it does the job quite well and has a decent green apple smell as well.

  • I have this container for Cold Power. I decant it into a smaller detergent bottle that I kept.

  • I reckon the Coles Home brand Lemon Powder Detergent still have the value as I reckon theres no big difference in powder and liquid. Only few chemical ingredients difference

    • +1

Liquid dissolve better without leaving white marks in black clothes

      • That's probably more because your machine can't rinse properly…and you have no option but to use liquid.

Powders wash clothes better than liquids per Choice results.

        • Machine wash ruin our clothes?

      • If you're getting white marks you're using too much detergent

    • +1

Liquid beats powders in the winter if you wash with cold water.

  • +1

    SWEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeen.

  • What’s better this or tide pods? Just wanting to know which is more nutritious.

    • +1

Tide pods have zero calories though.

    • Why not have both?
