or this with a 60 day no questions asked return policy:

I'd take 4 x HDMI inputs on the Aldi one to 2 x HDMI and "smart tv" function.

      Smart TV > Old TV

Why do you say that? Especially since external "smart" solutions like Chromecast and Xiaomi boxes are so affordable these days.
Plus the software on this is quite likely awful.

More ports over smarts any day.

        • Personally never like Aldi TVs, bad reviews and so forth, but their refund policy is great

Read the comments about this TV from the last time it was posted
          Not a lot of positives.

        • @Raynes:

This "Akai" is likely to the same quality as the "Bhaun", IE both mediocire. They are both Chinese badge engineering socials.

        • @BlinkyBill:
Fully agree, hence why I wouldn't go for this when the Aldi is cheaper and has more ports.

  • From Wikipedia:

"Akai collapsed in late 2000 under James Ting… Today the Akai brand is owned by Akai Sales Pte Ltd headquartered in Singapore… the Akai brand name is also used to rebadge electronics manufactured by other companies."

  • its showing $595
