  • Seems like a good deal
Is this with the new Sandy Bridge architecture?
Also how does Clevo compare to bigger brands for quality and reliability?

    • This is not sandy bridge, sandy bridge models start with a 2, eg; core i7 2600 etc…

    • This is the old one
and it's a dual core for those thinking that i7s are quads, they come in both.
      the 6XXs are dual
      the 7XXs, 8XXs and 9XXs are quads

  • My quick search of the clevo brand (known as whitebook laptops)is that there certainly is a question about reliability and replacement parts.

    The specs look good though.

    • LBO is the warranty agent for Clevo products sold by us and have parts on hand as well as quick turn around time in the instance that it requires it. As far as quality of product i would have no hestitation saying that it is similar in build quality to ASUS or Lenovo. We have sold a lot of this product with no DOA or faulty machines yet (product was released 6 weeks ago).

  • the specs looks good except for the monitor …1366x768 seriously?

edit: oh you can upgrade to a better panel for $199

Guys, I would be wary with the warranty, esp dealing with logicalblueone.

My work colleagues and I had so many issues with the laptops we bought from these guys.
we also had to return parts to these guys and it took weeks if not months to get things back.

I second that. Delays and communication issues count as bad after sales service in my book. I have had these issues with logicalblueone.

If you have the least bit of feeling that you might need after sales service, buy elsewhere.

      • I am sorry to you both if you have experienced subpar levels of service. The team here always strives to deliver and return goods as fast as possible and with as little issues as possible. So i apologise for any inconvenience caused to you and we are always here if you need any tech support.

  • Used to own a Clevo, never again. warranty is dodgy and shocking.

    • Where did you purchase it from? Clevo warranty is dependant on the reseller.

  • This one wins for the number of times a title can say Full-HD.

Are you sure its full-hd, or how full is the full-Hd full-HD. I think it may have Full-HD….

    • full hd is optional (+$199)

  • I thought i7 had no onboard graphics and thus Optimus had nothing to switch to?

    • I7-620 and i7-640 mobile processors are dual core just like i5 and have onboard graphics for the switchable Optimus function.
