  • Can anyone tell us how the 49" Agora Smart 4K LED TV - Series 8 KU8000 at $464 stacks up against the Aldi Bauhn 49" Ultra HD LED 4K TV $399.00?

I'm pretty close to buying the Aldi one this Wednesday, but would appreciate any comment from the community comparing screens this size around this price

For one, the Kogan one is a Smart TV and the other isn't :P

I would wait for a 20% off eBay TGG or appliances online and get a 50" hisense

Otherwise most of the TVs in the link have been at similar pricing before without the 20% off

was cheaper before, feedback in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/364755

Ignore the smart TV features as they're crap, but the Agora uses an LG (presumably C grade) panel, while the Bauhn gets horrific reviews all over the place.

If your distance from the screen is less than 2 metres, this TV is fine for 4k viewing, but otherwise sit tight and wait for this year's panels as the manufacturing has shifted to 65" being the standard size, as well as the new bells and whistles without having to pay a significant price premium.

I would recommend paying a bit extra and getting a tv from a reputable brand. For the price you aren't really going to see any 4k benefits, not to mention HDR etc.

      • The TV I've got now is at least 10 years old, (don't think it's even HD), so I think I'm going to give the Aldi a go, and if it just seems like a horrible viewing experience, return it within the 60 day return policy; I use my Xbox as the media player so wasn't really keen on a smart tv. thanks for all the comments :)

I got the 55" 4K Kogan TV during last sale for $480.
The picture quality is average IMO. Missing the HDR feature.

    • Gaming input lag? I want to buy one for the world cup this year in Russia and Xbox One S gaming and maybe 4k Netflix and YouTube.

  • I'm interested in buying this 65" SMART TV.
    Any suggestions/reviews please? Thanks

      Suggestion is don't buy it.

  • The MU9500 would be $720 after discount but I see they were selling it for between $500-$600 last year.
