  • In title 16gb is bonus data but in details it shrinks to 10gb as a bonus data. Which one is correct?

    • 16GB plan, 10 is bonus.

      Sorry, fixed.

  • Not sure about the rest of australia but Lebara network in Perth is crap.
Moved to Lebara after using Telstra for 10 yrs, took their Medium Plan last month (199/yr), pretty unhappy with their reception but stuck for another year….

Lebara uses Vodafone. I have had zero issues with Vodafone in Perth. I'm using a Lebara SIM now and last month was using a Kogan SIM.
Where are you that the service sucks? For me, Vodafone is the only carrier that gets me a usable signal inside my house - Telstra and Optus suck at my particular location. You can't really say "x sucks in Perth and y is great in Sydney", it's all relative to your exact location, how far from the tower you are and if any congestion exists.

I agree. For my needs, after a couple of years of sim swapping it became clear that Vodafone was best for my needs in Newcastle. Would never have guessed it.

        • I think the only way to really know is to try swapping between networks. With all these telcos jockeying for marketing dominance these days, theres loads of 'new customer' offers available every week - which makes it cheap for us sim sl*ts or those who are interested in trying out a network for a month to see how to reception is

When does the SIM need to be activated by? (Just in general - not referring to the bonus 16GB)

    • Promotion Terms: *26GB data includes 16GB + 10GB Activation Bonus on SIM activated before 31.08.2018

      • I think that date is referring to the bonus, but for the sim itself does anyone know the activation expiry date?

  • For information, it took almost 2 days to port prepaid from Woolies mobile to Lebara

    • Must have been over a weekend?

Submitted on a Sunday, it completed Tuesday evening. Rang them on Tuesday morning, and they say they would hurry it up. Maybe pro tip: wait and port during business hours

  • I ported one this morning 7:45am, from Vodafone to lebara took Like 5 minuets to activate. ;)

  • The Kogan $4.90 prepaid is better, gives 23gb data for 30 days.

    • Kogan deal is only for new customers. Those of us currently on kogan can't get that price.

I may be a new kogan customer next month though… ;-)
