FAQ From previous post

It's showing me higher AUD price than mentioned in the title

Choose USD as your currency from top left hand corner. Don't select AUD, always choose to pay in USD, it will work out cheaper even after your credit card conversion fees. Also read the below.

How do I ensure I get the cheapest AUD price possible

To avoid higher currency conversion rates and to get cheapest price from these Chinese websites, you should get a credit card that charges zero currency conversion fees. 28Degrees, Bankwest Zero, Coles Mastercard are generally popular. Irrespective of what credit card you use, always choose to pay in USD on these Chinese websites, (Go back to main page, Choose "USD" from top left hand corner). Additionally set your Paypal so it "bills you in the currency on Seller's Invoice". To set your PayPal account this way permanently, follow the steps shown in these snapshots(paypal-community.com) [Highly recommended]

    Hey BA :) nice post

  • Is this dual sim 4G + 3G ?

    • +2

Check out here & here from previous posts comment. Hope this helps

LeRee, Le Pro 3 AI, LeEco Cool 1 Dual, Sharp Z2 (this phone) are all made by LeEco. Prices between 105-150USD. Only this one and Cool 1 Dual has microSD and 3.5mm earphone jack. The rest uses USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. All phones comes with Dual SIM 4g/3g or 3g/4g.

  • so, s2 is higher end of z2 ?

  • This looks like a leeco phone

    • Made by LeEco. Labeled "LeEco Inside" on the back of the phone.

Sharp parent company is now Foxconn.

Seems stuck on Android 6. Any way of moving it up to 7? Officially or custom rom.

    • +1

I would like to know this too. There is mention in previous posts about an OTA upgrade to Android 7. Anyone that bought one in the last deal able to confirm?

  • Does it have nfc?

    • +1

      From previous post

      Unfortunately, no NFC

      • The Sharp S2 is a far more premium device for a small about more and has NFC and Band 28.

Does anyone know if this is dual sim?

    • +1

It says it takes dual sim in the post

its pretty impressive that you can get phones with 4gb ram, 1080p displays and other bells and whistles for $140 AU. yet they still cant give us 1080p laptops without charging $600-800+

    • +3

LOL look at the difference in form factors. You are comparing oranges to Apples.

  • Great price. Anyone bought one from a previous deal and have a review?

Hi, yes I bought one when they were around 150. It's a solid phone (specification and performance-wise, rather than actual build). I'm very happy with it for the price point. It stacks up favorably against other phones I've had - better hardware quality than ulefone metal, better performing than the nexus 5. More reliable than a number of android phones I've had, almost as reliable as the nokia 945 Windows phone, but with apps! Drawbacks I've had so far are pretty minor: default launcher is not the best, upgrades from 6.0 aren't forthcoming and hard to find a case. Does come with a Silicon rubber protector that has saved it from one drop so far. Hope it helps!

      • How secure is that case? Will it slip off easy?

I can't find a screen protector for it.

        • @lostn it's one of the silicone rubber type sleeves, it hasn't threatened to come off accidentally yet. I haven't got any kind of protector other than what was provided and there are no visible scratches and I'm not particularly delicate with how I treat it. I think for this kind of phone I'm happy if I get a couple of years out of it. It's not rugged but it's not flimsy either and the glass seems ok

Got it from LITB; took a month to come to get only if you can wait.

Overall a solid phone for its price; charges very fast and responsive and sound is kinda loud which is good

      No NFC
      Notification LED is kinda small
      Vibration is hard to catch

CAMERA sucks big time. Main drawback is that the photos are very soft especially around the edges. I don't even update my insta any more since I got this phone.

But if you are like me who just use the camera to capture on the go stuff e.g., notes or signs for reference later on, than the camera shouldn't really bother you

      • Don't get me wrong, I don't regret getting this phone, works as a good spare phone (I am waiting for the Nokia7+)

Is this good enough to use as GPS navigation in the car or better off getting one of those Chinese navigators on ebay?

    • +1

If you’re on your P’s and in NSW, you can’t use phone at all.

      • I mean if you have a seperate "phone" I would think you could tell them that it's your navigation unit. Especially if you run the Android Auto app on it. Thoughts? (Was thinking about doing the same thing)

        • Unfortunately, still not allowed.

      • Are you allowed to use a dedicated GPS?

        • Dedicated GPS is allowed. But mobile phone not allowed under any circumstances while car driving.

        • @No ONE: I find that a bit strange.

A phone mounted on a cradle with google maps open shouldn't be functionally any different from a dedicated GPS.

I guess they won't let you take calls via BT either?

      • Pretty dumb rule I reckon…if you are legit using as navigation only.

  • Hey BA, any good <$200 1080p tablets?

    • +2

Hey…idonotknowwhy I will try to find something for you..
      😊

    I say no to MediaTek.

    • +1

MediaTek says NO MORE to cyber bullies like The Hand of Time

    • Why?

      • Just like some people say no to Vodafone, Optus, Vaya…

      • -1

Because they often don't release the required firmware for their chips so phone manufacturers can upgrade the OS version.

  • +1

If someone could clarify the bands available on this phone and what networks it suits I would appreciate it.

I read the FAQ in the previous post where B5 for Vodafone was discussed and it does say B5 and B28 is available on the Z2 in the specs above.

Does this mean the phone is good for use on Vodafone and Telstra?

I'm not tech savvy with what bands are used by mobile networks so any help would be appreciated.

Also, it says express shipping on the LITB page but I assume anything sent from LITB is about a month according to posts in the previous deal.

Ordered 31 March received 16 April via DHL. Got it for spare phone. Using Aldi SIM. Phone reception on 4G as good as main phone on Telstra 4GX. Suburban Brisbane. Sharp launcher is rubbish so put Nova on it and runs really well.

  • Thanks OP, pity there's only either free or very expensive (IMO, $22US) postage. Hope I get warrains 17 days till delivered postage!
