Madgiga K360 RGB Mechanical Keyboard USD $22 (~AUD $28.70) + Free Delivery @ Zanbase

120

Saw a post by Reidyy123 where he found the popular Kogan mechanical RGB keyboards from another supplier for even cheaper than Kogan. I'm going to steal a bit of his thunder here and post it as a separate deal for those who missed out of the Kogan RGB mechanical keyboard, or those who really liked it and want another as a spare/gift.

Recent Kogan RGB Mechanical Keyboard:

Even more recent post with different keyboard/branding:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/373617

The Zanbase RGB Mechanical Keyboard with Blue switches advertised in this listing appears identical to the Kogan one from the recent deal with the same feature set/specifications, instructions, layout and everything besides the branding above the arrow keys.

EDIT: On looking at the picture of the switch, it appears different from the Kogan keyboard. The Kogan switch has a raised cross pattern, without the circular border that is shown on the Madgiga's switches in the one picture that shows them.

Note the free shipping is for 1 item per order. If you order 2+ keyboards in one order you will be slugged a lot for shipping, so make sure to order 1 at a time.

  • What’s the warranty like?

    • Can pay through PayPal, so have all the protections associated with buying through them.

      • So PayPal now cover warranties?

      • I am talking more about things like 12 month warranty. Not Paypal buyer protection.

I have the Kogan keyboard and it’s awesome. Personally i’d pay a little extra and buy from Kogan for faster shipping especially if you have a Shipster account.

    • +3

It's out of stock at Kogan and has been for nearly 10 days.

The only way to buy one with a Kogan badge on it at the moment is from one of the dirty scalpers: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/373086

      • Also the kogan numlock light isn't a bright light directly into your eyes like this one

      • +1

key caps may look the same. r u sure they have the same Brand switch???
i personally would like to know what i pay for, regardless the price.

there r lots of COs produced low-cost CN switch, quality varies… to say the least

        • Your comment made me go back and have a look. They don't specify the switch in this listing, and I can tell you from the picture of the switch that it is a different switch from the Kogan keyboard (I'm using one now).

I'll edit the title of the post to remove the 'same as Kogan' part and edit the post to reflect that the switches look different from the Kogan one.

Also in regards to the Kogan numlock light, it's bright AF and I've had to cover mine up with a tiny bit of black electrical tape (as I did with the Kogan logo also).

        • they are gateron blue switches

I have the Kogan one. I love it. I got it for $25 with the $10 referral and Shipster free shipping.

  • wish these weren't blue switches :/ I have always used slim scissor switch keyboards but would like to try mechanical on the cheap. Def don't want loud ones but happy to put up with one temporarily if I don't have much of an option. Are there cheap alternatives?

    • +3

      This is the cheap alternative.

This one is very loud but great for typing. Swapped my Microsoft surface ergonomic for this one. Will probably swap back if my hands start hurting

Def don't want loud ones but happy to put up with one temporarily if I don't have much of an option.

Mechanical = loud by definition because of their switches. The loudness comes from the bottoming out of the keys when you get plastic hitting plastic.

You do get varying levels of loud (e.g. brown is slightly less loud than blue), but they are still loud. The blue switches simply have slightly more actuation force and a 'clickier' sound, but the loudness actually comes from the key hitting the plastic, not from the click. Even red switches, for example, are still quite loud even though they don't have the switch and have linear actuation. If you want something quiet, stick with scissor switches. They have a membrane at the bottom, so you have the keys hitting soft rubber instead of plastic.

      • You can dampen the noise at the bottom by installing an o-ring kit ($2 on ebay). That said I still found blues too noisy. Not as much for the person using them but more for the people around them. That said they do feel nice to type on and are great for twitchy games.

I bought one before and am not very happy with it - The "h" key was registering double presses and not registering sometimes. I had to open it up and re-solder the connections, but it's still a little iffy. Now the "2" key is starting to exhibit the same symptoms. It was cheap so I can't be bothered sending it back, but buyer beware.

    • I've had the same behaviour with my s or r key, can't remember which. Was annoying enough that I had to pack it away, spent more time backspacing and correcting.

    • That's a critical flaw for typing. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will pass.

    • my cheapass mech keyboard used to have stuck keys. it stopped after a few months…not sure why

  • +1

Wow ok, thanks for crediting though, enjoy the deal!

I bought the Kogan one, it's the first mechanical keyboard that I've owned and I have to say it's an awesome keyboard, the only neg is the blue switches which is quite loud, however at this price point I absolutely would not hesitate to buy again.

  • Can you turn the back LED to white instead of the colourful gaming vibe?

  • Can't add to cart. Out of stock ?

    $344.40

  • Had this but in order two weeks the F key stopped working and slowly other keys followed suite.
    Got it refunded asap.

    • Really? This looks exactly the same as the KOGAN keyboard. Looks like both companies just buy OEM and plaster their names on it.

But for $25, I wonder how they even do it?

      • I dunno
I was told that apparently what happened to me was a 'common issue' with this keyboard and they blamed it on something going wrong during shipping. It's actually a really good keyboard…if it works properly.

  • Bought this. It is dodgy, after about 2 weeks of use the R key is double registering or sometimes not registering at all. Will have to pack it up.

  • Ended up buying a Ducky One 2. Extremely happy with the quality. My wife has CoolerMaster Pro. Awesome as well.
