      • I have paid price at Pump . to be fair i have only asked for Difference between 91 (best price) and amount i have paid.

        • How did you pay for your fuel? Did they ask for receipts? anyone can ring them up and say i've filled up this amount of fuel without proof. Thanks

    Store owner (an old guy) wasn't friendly and calling him names. LOL!

    Went to North Rocks (NSW) and was not honoured. Spoke to manager who told me that their system is not working and that I had to pay in full.
    Worse customer experience ever from this person. He did not let me speak at all. Numerous time I told him, "you need to stop and listen to your customer" he said "ok I'll let you speak" then before I could finished my sentence he interrupted me again.
    This manager needs to have listening skills. He did not even know what my concern was.
    All I wanted to tell him is that.
    1. Ok there has been an error in the system
    2. Customer communications need to go out to inform consumers of the mistake
    Therefore consumers are well aware before they decide to go to 7-eleven and use this fuel voucher.
    I made the decision of going to 7-11 and filling up due to what the voucher tells me.
    Mistake or not, this is misleading and can cause budgeting issue.
    Worse of all having a bad experience. As a result I have told my circle of friends and social media circle of this negative experience.

    I'll keep everyone posted of my outcome.

      or, just maybe, they know that 99.99% of people not in the Hampton Park area trying to claim this deal did so by faking their GPS location,

      The T's and C's in the app even say, if you cant get the lock to work in store (legitimate one or otherwise), you need to pay full price and raise it with customer support/service

      The fact you used the phrase 'you need to stop and listen to your customer' numerous times comes across as the kind of person who automatically asks to 'speak to the manager' :/

      Arguing over a tank of petrol and a 0.01c voucher that you should have known had a 99% chance of not being honoured seems pointless.

      • 0.01% here. I was in the area on the weekend, flew back home monday afternoon.

        Yeah no problem with T&C. All the manager needs to do was calmly explained to me of the T&C and error and to speak to customer service. No need to threaten me with getting police involved(I gladly agreed to this), raising their voice which I told them several times to lower their tone as I was speaking calmly. They just followed the wrong process and left a customer with bad experience.

        Just pointing out bad customer service in the way this error was being handled.

        I am an understanding person that error can and does happen. The way it was communicated was done badly.

        I do a fair bit of interstate travel and I use the app all the time to try and get the best value for fuel. I never had to check with the store person first before filling up to ensure that voucher was going to be honoured.

        Customer service did say that they will credit me with $10. Hardly even worth it to have gone through the bad experience. Not to mention I could've saved more by buying from BP which had cheaper price, or waited a few more days until price is cheaper and would have had a trouble free night.

        What I'm getting at is that due to their mistake I had to pay more and gone through bad customer service. Eitherway I am not after any compensation as my expectation was not met. Simply I just won't use them again and would be speaking my opinion out to those who would listen.

          Hampton Park sure is popular with interstate visitors at the moment. They're flying in from all over the country just for a weekend.

          You'd think they'd goto Melbourne instead with all it has offer rather than an outer suburban area.

          My cousin's wife's father's uncle's grandson's friend's sister's daughter's niece's cousin lives in the area.

          They all left after midday when fuel deal got corrected 😂

      Yesterday afternoon I filled up 43 litres at Narre Warren Vic. After the manager made a call, was honoured.

      7-eleven Australia has decided to honour the fuel lock. They're in the process of crediting the money back into my fuel app account ☺️

      Good outcome overall, plus I got to know to avoid North Rocks store due to bad customer service.

      P.S if this happened to the business that I work for, they would have certainly honoured the voucher. That's why there are automated and manual processes to test before things are in production.

    Accepted at Box Hill.

    Manager wasn't happy. Wanted me to pay full price and said "You can use the voucher at Hampton Park".
    Even tried to tell me "the system isn't working" after it had already scanned in.

    Stood my ground and he called head office. Just told me to leave without paying the 7c. So I paid nothing. Made sure to get a receipt though!

        Yeah, had two at home that were already full, so literally bought two more just for the lock. The cans pay for themselves!

  • Fill up 90 litre at West Ryde[NSW], accecpted no issue. Just being asked how do I get it. Also they knew it is a scam, said only 150 people get lock in this price.

  • Filled up 42L in the North Shore (NSW). It took a bit of effort to find a 7-11 that had Extra 95 (the ones around where I live didn't have it when I ran errands yesterday). I went in and asked the guy if my lock corresponded to their petrol and he saw the .1 locked in and said "Oh, you managed to get it" and smiled and gave me a thumbs up. When I only filled 42L he said "You've got 20L left and I said that's alright, my tank's full, to which he smiled and said "You should have brought some cans. You locked it in at 0.1 so make the most of it."

    I paid for 59 litres, only 6 cents. That's right, not 60 cents, only 6!

    The bloke behind the counter was in full shock!

    If anyone wants, I have the receipt … 6 cents (-$110)! Now, that's a bargain!

    All 7/11's have been informed of the issue and have been told to honor the voucher. Probs best to ask before you fill up in case the attendant decides to be a knob. I tried at twowradgi nsw;no luck, went to corrimal and scored

  • This is how I do it. I fill the petrol and go to the counter. Scroll down the fuel lock screen so that they can only see the barcode but not the price.
    So now once the guy scanned he will look confused but he has already scanned the voucher so at this point again say I am going pay with app. The guy hesitatingly will scan your card and might ask you few questions. Now when already paid tell him you got fuel discount from 7 eleven and turn your back and go.

    I have only tried this with different stores and I did same like this.

    Just filled up around 50 litres, total discount of around $80. The guy was so confused. I said to him to ring head office. He did, and head office offered a $10 credit. I then said I do not accept that, and I am not paying any more than the discounted amount of 5 cents. I wrote my details down (name/address/phone number) and offered him to take a photo of my license. He said this to head office on the phone, and they agreed to process the payment. He did not keep my details or take a photo of my license.

    Happy as.

    I just found that I can no login on to the app anymore.

        • yeh name and address so they can send me giftcard. i try to open new account under same name but i cant verified my NSW license, not matching. i have this problem with other services as well. so im not sure still banned or cant verified myself.

          if you have 2 word name then you will need to use your second word as middle name.

          First name: A
          Middle name: B

          Since we use service NSW , they cant have space on first name
