      • Screenshots won't work..

Just log out and log back in if it doesn't show up after a while. My lock ins normally show up on my wife's phone after a few minutes.

          screenshot will work. Confirmed today.

        • Who downvotes? I’ve successfully used screenshots for months between family n friends.

Screenshot will work. Confirmed today too.

    • just log out and log in back on 2nd phone

    • I'm logged into the same 7 Eleven account on two phones. I use my iPhone just to get the cheap vouchers (see above) then I show them my Pixel. Sometimes I need to relaunch the app to get the voucher to show up on my Pixel.

      • Thanks to everyone for your feedbacks. The log out and log in approach works.

  • Quite possibly one of the best if not the best deal on this website.

  • i would guess police may get involved and track people down from their number plates but hey this is too funny

    • +11

      Surely it's a honey-trap by now.

    • Locked in

    • Hey.. How to lock from different location?

    • -2

Title and picture are not the same price?

    • +3

Maybe Hampton Park is where they send the work experience people.

      • +3

That's where the OzBargain mole is placed

    • -4

Ok OP who do you know at the Hampton Park store that is setting the price to this for you?

    • Where is Hampton park?

      • +12

It's in Victoria, just go to Melbourne and then follow your nose.

        • Smell the petrol

    • Thanks.

    • +9

What a bargain!!! Its over $1.50/ L here in Brisbane …. Im driving down now for this :)

    • Please share how to lock at that price in Queensland…

    • Would love to see the queues for people to get this

      • at every 711?

    • locked XD

    • -1

      Wish I had a jailbroken phone :(

      • +2

        then jailbreak your phone mate.

        • Firmware doesn’t allow it or else I would have done it already.

      • need to find yourself one of these for next time

    • +1

Fuel watch finally came in handy.

    • I have a full tank now so I guess if I lock it in they’ll void the deal by the time I need to fill up. Bummer

      • You can always lock, if possible and help out ozbargainers by sharing the bar code

        • But surely in their terms and conditions it’ll say something about being able to reneg

    • Locked in

    • Any way to lock this price in sydney?

    • +6

Locked, scared to use it because it'll be so sus!

    • I think it's done now, I can't find that price at Hampton Park

      • I just locked in. Did you set your fuel type to 95?

      • its going on "extra 95 "

      • Neither, gps is in that area but not 000.1

    • If this is anything like the Shell grand prix issue, I'm sure 7-11 will have sent faxes to every store by now.

      • +1

        They still use fax?

    • I m to do cant lock in I found that but how to do it do I have to near that pump

      • +8

Has anyone really decided as to even go that far in wanting to do to look more like?

    • Hmm should I drive 9km each way to get into the 5km radius in order to lock it in. What a conundrum I find myself in.

      • By the trend of how fuel price is on atm.. You shouldnt think twice about this mate!, its basically free fuel!

        • Except if they reneg on the lock in

      • +1

Why not? If you are legitimately within 5km then you're not doing anything wrong

    • Oh my phone sucks I am not able to lock how to do it
Do I have to be near in that area

    • Surely this will not be honoured.

      • Yes it has.. See previous post of Op which was honoured.

    • Can anyone confirm the actual price at that station? Or it is just for the app…

    • Can anyone help me which app best for fake location for iPhone? Sorry am doing this first time.

      • Same here
Don’t think you can do it unless jail broken

      • +2

Get the Android emulator (Nox) on your PC, set it up, set the GPS location through it, then download the App through the emulator.

    • I keep getting an error to saying exceeded number of fuel lock ins in 24 hours, but I have no lock ins at all.

    • Can I fill multiple cars with one voucher?

      • +1

Two only at the same pump right after each other. Wait until the person before you pays then you're ok.

    • Can I use this to any 7-11 fuel store?

      • +3

It worked. 4cents for 39L and a free doughnut. Thanks OP

      • I'd like to know this too. New to the app.

I don't want to fill up then be told it won't be honoured and have to pay full price!

        • If you haven't locked the price sice the deal was posted then you're too late. Deal's gone I believe

        • @Bjay: I locked it. Went past Hampton Park and all their 95 pumps were not inn use. So was going to go to another service station but I didn't want any nasty surprises when I go to pay!

        • @me: then you should be alright. The cashier was shocked and like she wanted to ask how I did it. I never said a word after I paid. Got my fuel at Cranbourne West btw

        • +2

          @Bjay:

Many thanks. I just went to endeavour hills and filled up. The woman scanned it, then got suspicious and called someone out from the back… As she did I tapped my card so the transaction went through and got out of there fast!

Thanks - 2c to fill up!

        • @me: LOL. Did you get your free doughnut as well? I was about to leave when I realized I also have a free doughnut

        • @Bjay: didn't even think of that!!

  • +1

    I'm thinking either:
    - inside job, relying how franchise systems can be slow fixing stuff widely
    - or yeah, honey pot albeit without the cleavage :P

    • +1

yea… this is potentially gonna ruin it for everyone….

      $20 every month vs $50 once off….

    • I don't get what's with all the people saying "honeypot"…. what are they trying to catch?

  • +1

    it's gone

    • +1

      Yeah sure it is lol

    • +4

Hahaha, They offered the price. Nothing illegal about taking advantage of their stupidity.

If it is under investigation by police, I would say its a staff member under investigation not the customers

      • +2

If it is under investigation by police, I would say its a staff member under investigation not the customers

Meh - with 7 eleven's track record on how they treat their stuff, they deserve everything they get.

    • +5

Funny, I have a friend who works at the Federal Police and he said his co workers are all in on the deal and have gotten their friends and family onto it as well.

    • Shit later then?

    • If i just carry 5 jerry can and fill up with 100 Litres?

Or i just go in and pay full price and claim the voucher is not working?

    • Prove?

    • BS. You haven't stolen anything

  • I live close to Hampton Park and after having a look they don't actually have 95 on any pumps. smells like a honey pot for sure.

however I did fill up at the Dandenong store using this locked price. The boss there looked pissed but still honoured it.

    • Honeypot for what? What are they trying to catch?

      • +1

Professional Ozbargainers so Gerry Harvey can torture us.

      • Honeypot for those using fake GPS

        • Or… a honeypot for those with automobiles that can travel a distance to be within the right distance to get a good price for fuel?

Its this one new weird trick that nobody knows about.

        • How would they know they used Fake GPS? The whole point is that people are exploiting the app so it's undetectable (though I guess a lock-in in Vic and a claim in QLD might raise an eyebrow or two)

Even then, if they honour it, that's not how a honeypot works. They're just losing thousands.
