  • I have it, but mine is spend $900 or more, receive 1500 MR points.

    • Damn, that's unfair. :(

      • Hahaha. I saw it when I was looking at the Trenery offer someone posted a few hours ago. I didn’t have that but I had this. At least you don’t have $10,400 !!

        • Lol, i'm guessing the offer varies as per monthly spend power. I've been spending approx. $1.5k-2k per month with Amex, so hence my offer is as $1500?

        • @thewrongbeckie: or maybe depending on your Amex card and it’s earn rate of MR generally.
I have an essentials. With a monthly bill under $1500 most of the time. Usually like $6-700.

        • I got spend $11000 for 3000 points

        • @thewrongbeckie:

I dont think so. My spending is about the same as yours, on my Explorer card, but I got $5,000 for 1,500 points.

        • I got $9500 for 4500 points!

    • Mine is $1,900. :-(

  • What's the real $ value of said points please?

    • $100 for every 10k points.

    • +1

Depends on use. 1 MR points = 1 Velocity/KrisFlyer/Asia Mile etc.
      $ value for GCs suck.
Also good for Starwood Preferred Guest points. Points value is even better when velocity has transfer bonuses.

Plat Edge, I only ever use the card for coles/woolworths spend where it's 3ppd so my monthly spend is low as I'm away for work half the time with zero spend.

      • +1

Yep, that’s exactly the same card and usage for me, except I also put petrol on the card as it’s 2 points/$

Not likely since I already use Amex everywhere it's accepted. Saved it just in case I get an insurance bill or something big I can pay through PayPal.

    • Ditto… It's something I'm going to go out of my way to do, but if it happens it happens. A set and forget possible bonus

  • +1

    • +1
