Has Anyone Used Priority Pass?

I am flying with Mrs B MEL-LON via Dubai next month, and returning, with Royal Brunei.
Is Priority Pass worth it for Lounge access?
We would like to be able to break up the journey without breaking the bank, and I have read some stories where PP users are either not admitted to lounges or waitlisted at busy times, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Is there is a lounge accessible for PP at MEL, DUB and LHR?
Anyone have experiences to share?

  • I've only ever used it a KLIA and had no problems getting into the lounges. Although they can be busy sometimes.

  • I havent used PP, however I have used a few other passes for various lounges. I use LoungeBuddy to see what lounges are available at the various airports. On the Android app it lets you enter details about what credit cards or lounge memberships you have, I assume the website can as well.

That should help you find out which lounges might be available at the airports you are going to and what the entry requirements are.

  • Doha airport.

was upgraded to another lounge when busy.

  • I have used it - but only the two passes that I get for free annually with my Citibank Signature (annual fee free for life) card.

I wouldn't bother signing up for it if you had to pay for it. I used it in HK and it was nice - had good food and stuff.

  • Is PP transferrable? Can you sell it like you can Qantas Passes?

    • +1

No, you get allocated a card and I think they also ask you for your boarding pass when you go in so the name inconsistency would be obvious.

  • I believe it's a short stop in dubai both ways. unless there is a delay, i dont think you will have enough time to use the lounge in dubai.

you have approx 3 hours transit in bwn. as there is not much to do at the airport, it will be handy to access the newly refurbished lounge using priority pass.

you can also buy single entries to the lounge for 40 dollars but keep in mind that they do not serve alcohol.

not sure about london but priority pass has just added the new plaza premium lounge to its list.

  • I've got a free all-inclusive priority pass. I use it to get a free $36 breakfast, lunch and/or dinner whenever I'm traveling through airports.

    Naturally, I love it.

  • Yes.

  • Yes but not sure it's worth paying for it. Many of the lounges u can access by paying on the spot and that gives u more flexibility (so do your research before u leave)

Otherwise get a cc that gives u free PP

  • Dragonpass via Regus membership works out at £19 per visit

  • I have 2 PP lounge visits per year through Citibank signature card. I've used it in KLIA no problem a few times.
You can search for lounges at particular locations on the PP website. 4 in MEL, 9 in DBX, 8 in LHR. Not sure if it is worth purchasing PP just for 1 trip, or what plans/membership lengths they offer

  • I used dragonpass in Doha too and it was great. It doesnt have the new Melb priority pass lounge on it yet though.

  • Ive used my free one with citibank once in Dallas…
No issues and free beer, cant complain.

  • In Melbourne there's a nice selection of restaurants where you get $36 worth of dining credit per guest. Much better than lounge food IMO https://www.prioritypass.com/en/Lounges/Asia-Pacific/Austral… I have unlimited PP access through my Amex Platinum card.
