update 2/3/2022: Price increased from £18 to £20.50 with code TELEDP16

With GOURMET15 finally expiring after almost 17 months, thought a current code should be posted as a new deal :)

Before purchasing an eCertificate we suggest that you use our Lounge Search function to ensure that we have a lounge in our network to suit your travel needs. You can then either click through from the search results or click the Buy Now link at the top of the page or click here to purchase your eCertificate(s).

Once your payment has been received your eCertficate will be generated and emailed to you instantly. We suggest that you save a copy and print one off.

Please note that your eCertificate(s) will only be able to be used by the person named on the eCertificate. You may purchase eCertificate for other people but please do so using their name.

    No Australian airport lounges, btw.

  • -4

if you have gold with any airline you dont need this.

    • +12

If you don't have gold with the airline you're travelling with and you desperately want to get into a lounge then it could be useful.

  • +1

    I think regus is cheaper.
    £14?
    Of free for gold members.

  • Paris lounge for mine, is the best i have ever been to, 9/10

    • have you tried Venice one¿

  • How strict are they on the duration of your visit?
I have a 6 hour transit at LAX and the 2 lounges via Dragonpass say maximum 2 hour duration.

    • Restrictions are set by the lounge operators, not by Dragon Pass.

    • +1

I've found it depends on the staff. Used the previous code and stayed in the KAL Lounge in LAX for 5 hours last time (even though I think the maximum was 2). Really nice lounge btw but the best part was being able to have a shower after the Syd>LAX leg.

      • Good news

    • it really varies honestly. if it isn't busy, they don't really care. if it gets crowded, they will start kicking people out. they know because the time you scanned in.

      • -1

@jamie147 wtf why didn't you go out and explore? That's a full day in Dubai

  • +1

Make sure you do your research, some of the lounges in the network are not worth the £18.

    • +2

I would argue that access to the standard Australian Qantas Club lounges, domestically and internationally, are not worth that either.
Continually amazed at the $60+ prices people pay on eBay/gumtree for guest passes to these places.

      • Qantas international business lounges are easily worth the $60 for a long stopover. They are usually very nice.

Agree with the local QC lounges, they aren't worth $60 entry.

        • +1

Doesn't take much for me to get $60 of value in a lounge. If you like a few beers before you board, these eBay vouchers are worth your dime.

        • The Melbourne international business lounge is a dungeon with no windows and almost the same food/drinks offerings as domestic (maybe a 20% increase in classiness, if that)

          • +1

@nigel deborah: Even the domestic melb lounge is better than the int lounge

      • I have Gold membership with Virgin and their lounges are mediocre. The food is the main low point, for non breakfast, always a tank of some tasteless carb loaded pasta, a tank of soup and salad nobody wants to eat in winter. Having somewhere to sit and work is good though.

        • Agreed. My virgin gold is coming to an end after 8 years and I won’t miss the terrible food, the best thing they serve is a chicken sandwich every now and again.

          • @Capitalshark: Having Virgin Gold or Platinum is sensational if you are travelling on Qatar or Singapore Airways. Very handy for that alone. I've used it for lots of Qatar lounges.

  • +9

You can get Dragonpass lounge entry for £16 by following these instructions
    http://www.pointhacks.com.au/dragonpass-lounge-hack/

    • Thanks for that.

I was already a Regus Gold Member. I am sure that was as a result of an Ozbargain post a couple of years ago! Never used it, but who knows when it might come in handy.

Have just activated the Dragon Pass. Not planning any travel, but useful to have up my sleeve for the future.

    • thanks - deal updated :)

  • +5

Since these vouchers are emailed instantly upon purchasing (and there's no need to print them afaik), and since many lounges are not worth it, I would recommend travelers to bookmark this page and simply check out the lounge first when traveling.

    • +1 but technically one pays before entering the lounge to check it out :)

      • +1

Correct, but my experience with crappy lounges is that you can tell from reception and by seeing people walking in and out. You can also just ask at reception if they have eg showers, a bar, what's on the menu or whatever the reason may be you'd be considering to spend your $29 on. In Doha for example, there's this not so great lounge for non-business OneWorld travelers but according to Dragon Pass you can bring 2 guests. If that means complimentary access for your guests, that suddenly makes it a pretty good deal but something I would prefer to verify at reception before purchasing a pass (especially as the terms can change between when you buy and redeeem your voucher).

  • +1

Great, I need 2 passes for the oldies in Singapore. Any recommendation for which lounges in Singapore.

    • +2

I am with Priority Pass with my AmEx card and I have free unlimited access to lounges in their network (so I did a little bit of a lounge hoping). The lounge offer between the two programs are almost identical in Singapore.

Please skip Airport Wellness Oasis (T1) (unless you want a fish foot spa thingo). The SATS ones are great - I've been to a two of them when I was transiting in SG and they didn't disappoint (I really like the massage chairs and the selection of beverages and food). Plaza is good too, but I felt Plaza ones does get a bit overcrowded at times.

      • +1 SATS and Plaza Premium - dnata is also good :)

      • Thanks mate. I got Qantas Club Vouchers for the missus and I. But oldies are coming too and i don't want them to feel left out.

      • Agree on the fish spa and the SATS being good quality, but disagree on the Plaza lounge. Also, you're missing the best lounges by far (IMO) - the Dnata lounges. The only drawback compared to the SATS lounges (IIRC) is the lack of massaging recliners, but apart from that, it has the best food, drinks on par with SATS, and very clean bathrooms.

    • Used Plaza Premium recently - food was fine, having a shower was good between flights even if the shower itself was a little manky, so I’d say worth it.

  • Can easily search the lounges via the app.

  • Can anyone advise any other places to get lounge passes? i am looking for sydney, dallas and atlanta but dragon pass does not offer those locations

  • deal updated:

£14.75-£16 using DragonPass App via free Regus account - Login > Tools > Airport Lounges (no top-up/prepayment required - pay at check-in)

(thanks to 0p and kenh2003 for the reminder)

    • Thanks, actually did this. I did notice that free membership only last for 12 months. Just an FYI. (wish it was lifetime)

    • I tried to see if I can purchase this for around 14.75 but not having much luck, is there a weblink I need to go into? I down loaded the Dragon Pass App but it charging me around $31 USD to get into lounges for Singapore still. Thank you

      • Did you join via Regus?

        • No I think I down loaded the Dragon Pass app but I type into regus.dragonpassuk.com but I'm not seeing any prices with them, is there a link where I can join up please?

        • @cr12330:My impression is that you have to join via Regus.
          https://regus.dragonpassuk.com/FAQs
"What is included with my membership?
Your membership gives you access to a global range of over 850 lounges for a fixed fee of £16.00 GBP per visit per person."

        • @Peck: Thank you, I'll try and work it out :)

  • hi folks, have a 7+ hr layover in Bangkok soon. (Thankyou Jetstar for changing a 2hr transfer in SIN and re-directing to 7+ hrs in Bangkok).
    1) is it worth it using this deal?
    2) 4 airports come up under Thailand - anyone know which one is the RIGHT one for Bangkok?
thanks in advance for your assistance.

    • You have an intra-Asia Jetstar flight? Godspeed my friend, godspeed.

      • I've flown Jetstar Asia several times on intra-Asia flights and never had a problem.

      • Not intra-Asia flight per se. Rather flight back to Aus. Original transit was in Sing but they've chosen to reschedule the original flight and now via BKK and thus instead of 2hr transit changed to 7+ hrs. And necause it's only a transit was wanting to check whether this was worth it.

    • Jetstar will be 99% on Don Mueng airport.

You can get a taxi to Mochit BTS for about 150 baht each way. Or express bus for 20 baht each.

Ton of places to visit, big shopping mall, amazing market on Saturday/Sunday. I live in Bangkok for almost 2 years.

  • Priority Pass does have some very average lounges. Especially the ones at KLIA2 Malaysia.
However if anyone with PPass is travelling internationally out of Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, Oman Air lounge is spectacular!
    https://www.prioritypass.com/en/Lounges/Asia-Pacific/Thailan…

    • I quite liked the small spa lounge at KLIA2…showers available, help yourself to Tiger cans, some food available, and, if you're lucky, you can use those super luxurious recliners.

      • +1

Its better than being out with the plebs. and far better than the old LCCT, but I am sure that they keep the beer only slightly cold to discourage consumption. Been there 4 dozen times, and never once had one that you could call 'cold'. Also it only has 3 bathroom/toilets, and so it is often difficult to get a toilet, and ALWAYS difficult to get a shower. I always carry chilli powder to give their food some semblance of flavour. The same co. runs the one outside of departures, and easier to get a shower there.
The PP lounges at the main KLIA are much much better.

        • Fair enough mate, I can imagine you would get tired of it after visiting so many times!

I've never been into the Plaza lounge at KLIA, but it definitely does look shmicko.

Having said that, for a LCCT, KLIA2 sure is a step up from pretty much all others, and the mall and restaurants outside are probably better than in KLIA.

        • "Its better than being out with the plebs."

I must take issue with your use of terminology.

          The correct statement should be

"Its better than being out with the riff raff."

          :)

  • +1

My lounge looks better than their lounge

  • I have a 5 hour stop-over in LAX soon - would something like this be worth it?

  • The lounges don't offer any free food do they?

    • free food+drink is one of the main reasons that people pay for entry :)

    • +1

Always have free food. Quality and range can vary markedly.

  • Do these passes allow you to bring any guests into the lounge?

    • +1

      https://regus.dragonpassuk.com/FAQs

How many guests can I take with me to an airport lounge?
There is no maximum limit however you will need to ensure you have enough Visits on your membership to cover yourself and any intended Guest Visits. However please be aware that lounges operate their own policies regarding group sizes.

      https://thetelegraph.dragonpassuk.com/FAQs

Can I book a lounge visit for my friend?
Yes you may. However please note that when booking a lounge visit for someone else please ensure that you use their details when filling out the form. You may however use your own card to purchase visit for other people.

Can I book visits for a group?
You may book visits for more than one person. However please note that you need to fill in the details of each person for each voucher separately. Please note that lounges operate their own policies regarding large groups.

      • So this implies that you can bring guests, but you must pay for them (or have a voucher) too?

        • That's the way that I read it.

  • Have a 5 hour (5am to 10am) stopover in Dubai, really want a shower after a 14 hour flight. Any recommendations on Lounges that won't A) Suck, B) Be packed ? And there is 2 of us.

Wouldn't mind the hotel in the airport but spending $200 for a room for a night that I can only use for like 3.5 hours is a bit over the top. Not sure if 5 hours will be sufficient to get a cheaper hotel that is right next to the airport.

    • …stopover in Dubai… And there is 2 of us.

If you're a couple you'd better make sure you're married or not pregnant!

      • Read that story from earlier this year.

And not pregnant. We know to keep our heads down.

    • Lounge Buddy mentions a few lounges, but they don't tend to mention shower. However, it might be worth looking into the G-Force Health club - depending on your terminal.

  • For all those looking for lounge recs, try sleeping in airports website for lounge reviews :)

  • Incase anybody runs across this post again and can't figure out this process, it's change slightly since the it was uploaded by the original poster. The new process is as follows:

    5. Open app and click on 'log-in'. Put in your membership number and password.
    6. You should now be able to book lounge passes for 19£ each. Remember to use your 28 Degrees credit-card to avoid international fees.
    • Anyway to get the older £16 price?

  • Is plaza premium lounge in Sydney worth it?

  • +1

Any lounges in singapore worth with this?

  • -4

I dont this as I only travel within Oz in my gas guzzling 4x4

  • If we are 2 adults and 2 kids travelling, do we need to purchase 4 of these or is it just one per family

    • Youll need to purchase a lounge pass per adult. Some lounges are different for children, example - in Melb Marhaba lounge children under 6 years old are admitted free and for Plaza Premium Lounge children under 2 years old are admitted free.

  • +1

    Just for clarification
    This is the joining fee
There's an additional charge for entry
I'd just get a priority pass membership for free with a credit card imho

Would suspect many of these lounges would have a casual entry rate as well where you can just rock up on the day

    • This is the joining fee
There's an additional charge for entry

      -1

£20 (~A$38.86) Entry to 900+ Airport Lounges Worldwide @ Dragon Pass via Gourmet Society

      no joining fee

      • Ok my bad
So its £20 pounds for an individual entry to lounges that you can get casual access to for the same amount??

        Struggling to see the deal

        • this is casual access?

if you can find cheaper, then feel free to share

  • +1

Anybody got any feedback on the Fiji Airways Premier lounge in Nadi, Fiji. Worth spending the money on the lounge for a 4 hour stopover for the family.

    • Spent 6 hours there a few months ago on way home from Tonga. Would recommend it as there isn’t much on offer outside the lounge. Good facilities, food and alcohol, make sure you try the blue turtle gin! Definitely got my value, accessed it with a free priority pass from a Citibank credit card I rinsed

  • +1

I love an airport lounge deal but this post takes some work to understand what you actually are buying

  • I’d love feedback on Vietnams tan son Nhat lounges (international)

    • I usually ask to have a look at the lounge first when you're there rather than prepaying. If the lounge/food looks decent then I'll buy online, of course providing its cheaper than the advertised entry price.

  • Best lounge in Seoul Incheon, terminal 1?

    • +1

Haven’t been before but will be in Seoul in a couple of weeks. Looking at booking Matina Lounge (West Wing, International Departures, Terminal 1) as it’s closest to the gate I’m departing.

      • Thank you
