[NSW] 20% off Order Fees at Myplates.com.au

180
E418MUM

Custom or restyled NSW number plates are expensive. Right now, they have a 20% off Mothers Day special. They only have specials twice a year (mother's day and father's day) so if you need one, don't put it off now. I understand that the discount is on order fee only so if you're going for anything with annual fees, then you pay full price for that.

How to redeem:

"This offer can only be redeemed by giving our Plate Specialists a call on 131 758 between 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 8am - 12pm on Saturdays and quote 'E418MUM'. But hurry, offer expires 11:59am 12/5/18."

  • I remember when custom plates according to conventions, didn't incur additional fees…..

Bargain from the NSW State Gov't……not really, they have screwed you elsewhere.

    Cheaper to make your own…

    • It this legal? I have a custom plate but want to trim it down to slim sizesize.

      • As long as it conforms to the standard and is registered then i dont see why not

Seriously… put NSW in the title.

    • Please use the Report function to alert Mods to problems with deals, instead of relying on someone randomly surfing the site and reading your comment. Thanks for noticing this, btw. I wasn't aware MyPlates is NSW only and its home page doesn't make it clear either.

  • Where do you apply the discount code?

The nsw site is 900% better than the shitty QLD one.

  • How do I find out if "SXC29T" is taken?

    Happy Mother's Day.

Literally the first link when you open it up…

I just checked took me 30 seconds. Yes it is.

    • I assume that combo is meant to read “Sexy Tonight”, but the first thing I saw was “Sexy to 90”.

Ewww, no. They are my mother's initials and she drives a 2.9L turbo Audi.

This plate now seems like a bad idea, so I guess I will need to look at other plates.

She follows the Australian National League football, so can someone check "LUVANL" and tell me if it is available instead?

        Thanks for your help.

          Dear Mr Roll,

I think your mum would prefer to include your dad, Trevor, in the number plate.

You should probably check if "TROLL" is taken.

My e-mail said you had to ring them, presumably not applicable online? Definitely getting one tho.

  • Does anyone know the cost to transfer this to a new vehicle if you decide to in the future?

    • I did that recently, swapped 2 vehicles plates around and it was $57.

Cheers OP. Been waiting for mother’s day promo to come up so I could get new plates made up. :D

For anyone reading this far down the thread, it’s the same as every other year. You have to call the number or visit an RMS branch to get this offer. It cannot be used on the website…

    • Do you have to say its for your mum to make it valid?

      • Last time I did it, I just quoted the code and they didn’t ask who it was for. I was worried that all my family cars are registered in my name that they would question it, I would have just said, it’s the car my wife drives…

      • +1

They couldn’t care less who it’s for as long as you’re willing to pay up!

"Ah sorry, this is not exactly for your mother. We cannot accept your money today," SAID NO MYPLATES WORKER EVER!
