Looks to be the best deal I can find at the moment on the Oneplus 5T. I haven't purchased from JoyBuy before but from what I read they are no better or worse than the other Chinese sites.

Sites says it is a 'Flash Deal' and ends at 2.00am Monday 30.04.18 Australian time.

(If anyone has a coupon or cashback details for Joybuy please post as I am yet to pull the trigger on this myself)

Keep in mind the Oneplus 6 is due to be released 16/05/18 but pricing has not been confirmed on that.

I'd be waiting for the 6 release to a) see this price drop and b) see if you want the 6 instead

Not a bad idea. I'm sure I'll 'want' the 6 but I'm too tight to buy phones when they first release.

    • I'd only wait for the 6 if you want the slightly bigger screen. It's supposed to be 6.2" or so, versus the 6" inch here. Otherwise why wait … the 6 will be more expensive, plus then the 6t will be about to be released :)

      • Bigger screen in similar dimensions, waterproof, newer CPU, better cameras, maybe in-screen fingerprint reader. But yes, probably a heap more money

        • For me, the most attractive feature will be the wireless charge. I am owning a iPhone X and a oneplus 5T. It will be much more convenient to be charged on a same wireless holder.

Any major improvements in the oneplus 6 thats coming? I bought a oneplus 3 second hand off a mate when he upgraded to the 5 and love it coming from iphone 4 and 6. The camera is really really good.

For anyone looking I think the oneplus is a great value handset at any model. Certainly not as cheap as xiaomi etc but tend to be more reliable and easier to work with, setup and all that. My wife has a xiaomi 5 and for the $300 I paid a couple of years ago it was a bargain but it started getting a little flakey after 12months and a pain to work with as far as unlocking and the camera is really poor - every review has it as below par to google, samsung, iphone etc but that is being generous! it is more like a 10+ year old phone in low light and by low light I mean anytime you are not outside with full sunshine!

TLDR; Oneplus make really good phones and worth getting if you want big screen, great camera and reliability without paying for ultra high end samsung, google, iphone.

There's little reason to recommend Oneplus now that their prices are not competitive.

      • Not sure what you mean ? China phone should be cheap ??

I actually preferred the oneplus 5t over the LG v30 (they were my final 2 choices). On paper the oneplus 5t is less, but what it does, it does better. That's what a lot of reviews said and after getting the 5t I have no regrets. Works great.

Oneplus don't drop price.. Its no longer manufactured.. Highly unlikely you will get any cheaper even after a year.. Oneplus 6 will be priced higher.. Good luck waiting.. I would buy using ebay 10% code from a trusted seller who gives AU warranty..

    • Agree, with OnePlus gaining popularity in recent years - their prices have also gone up. Additionally, they have much tighter control over stock so its not always possible to get last years flagship for a decent price. e.g. try finding a OnePlus 5 for decent money.

given what good used/refurbished Galaxy S8s can be had for now, i really struggle to see why one would want to pay this much for either variant of the One Plus 5T…

even the essential phone can be had for a bit of a bargain these days

    • Galaxy s8 runs sluggish after a few months.

  • If you watch a lot of Netflix on your phone be warned: These don't have the certs required to play HD netflix, hulu etc. SD content only.

    • Good to know. So all the same shows and movies are available but just in SD? Or some titles can't be watched at all? I currently have a ZTE Axon 7 with Lineage OS (custom ROM) so imagine it wouldn't have the certs either?

Everything can be watched. Not sure about custom ROMs though I don't think they help.

Update: It looks like it's now possible to watch in HD but you won't like how.

      • Terrarium TV anyone?

Never pay for movies so its good for me

  • Waiting for mi max 3…
