So to clarify, you get:
The 8in1
A free solar key-ring torch
And free shipping Australia wide.

Whether you buy directly from us, or one of our affiliate sites.

You can tell if it's an affiliate web site by going through the checkout process. You will be directed to our site before you get even get asked to register, or pay.

SO, if ANYONE can find a BETTER deal on this or a comparable product, let's please discuss that, and vote down because of that. Give me a chance here guys.

And for the negative down voters, I urge you please hear me out, and reconsider your negative vote. I don't believe the affiliate site confusion detracts from this being a bargain. If you do have other grounds for a negative vote, please discuss it in the comments section, I am willing to address anything.

  • Get it from here and get a free solar keyring torch thrown it…

    http://performanceshop.com.au/product/8-in1-Power-Station-wi…

    • Same shop.

    • Same shop.

  • you'll need to do better than that see above posts…

    • the websites look almost identical… :S

  • Those sites are the same product and price. They are affiliate websites.

    • So what makes your deal better ???

      • It's the same deal. They all go through the same shop at the end of the day. The affiliates advertise our products for a percentage of the profit. I haven't seen this unit cheaper anywhere.

        • so why don't you give us the 'percentage of the profit'

that way your deal might be considered a bargain…

at present, it is the same price (actually worse, because no freebie)

        • So if we bought it directly from your shop should you not sell it to us cheaper… otherwise yes, I would got through the affiliate so you would receive less profit.

        • We do not undercut our affiliates. If we did, no one would buy from them, and they wouldn't advertise for us. You are welcome to buy it through an affiliate website. We will receive less profit. I mean you're welcome to sign up as an affiliate for free, and purchase it through your own link and you can keep the profit from your sale

        • I just wanted to clarify one thing about a post I made earlier. You don't directly buy from our affiliates. During the checkout process (just before actually), you are directed to our site (shop.wallcannrewards.com). ATM there is also a free solar keyring torch, and free shipping, I don't think I've ever seen us sell this product so low.

same price here too, just looks like its the standard price… ie no bargain.. this site is ozbargains.

this "bargain" smells very much like spam to me… looks like the "regular price"

    • All the sites pointed out here are the exact same price as they direct customers to the one shop before payment. They are affiliates.

    • @wisc
      No keyring though… :(

      • -1

As I've pointed out, they are affiliate websites. They ALL go through the SAME shop. It doesn't matter if you buy it from 8zed, performanceshop, life-bestbuys it will be delivered from WallCann, and you WILL receive the torch.

        • What about some free cheese then? :p

        • +1

StewBalls: I'd love to give you some free cheese, but It's pretty hot in adelaide atm, i dare say it'd be off before it gets to you.

        • Cheers dude, I'll have the crackers & cabanossi ready for when the weather cools down! :)

        • Lol no worries StewBalls. Looks like you guys are having pretty good weather over there atm. It's prety much the same here in Adelaide.

  • This is OzBargain, not OzFreeAdvertising…offer something better than your competitors or be negged into oblivion! ;)

    • -1

Those 'competitors' are actually our affiliates. Their sales are directed through our online shop.

      • Hmmm, I always worry when I see a business with so many 'affiliates'. This practice always seems a bit sus to me, having so many redundant entities for a single 'seller'…I'm sure there's a good reason, but I'll also bet it's nefarious! ;)

        • I understand where you are coming from. Let me explain it a little more. A lot of sites out their actually have an affiliate system. People sign up, and create their own websites. They throw in their own time/SEO/SEM/$$$ so we don't have to. Hence we pay them for that service. WallCann has created a CMS that has made this process even simpler. Even a non-experienced user could have a site up and running within a few hours. Once the site is up and running, they can drag and drop products from our shop, into their website.

        • Interesting concept, thanks for the clarification. I kinda suspected something along those lines but didn't really think the margin would be good enough for affiliates to make it worth their while; since as you say, it's effectively a very superficial click-thru service from the affiliate, and where (if I've got this right) you guys are the only real point of sale?

I stand by my neg vote though, even though you guys are the only people selling these particular models ATM, and at least they are available to folks who really wanted this model & not the successor; however, @ $249 they were grossly overpriced (plus, we cannot know how long you guys offered these at that price), and @ $175 they're only getting slightly closer to what they sold in the US for, ~$140 AFAIK; so no substantial 'bargain' per se, it still appears to me to be an attempt at free marketing, sorry to say!

        • Sorry I couldn't reply to your comment directly StewBalls.

We are the only real point-of-sale. Those websites all link through us. You can test by going through the purchase step (You will be at our site before being asked for money, at this point you can bail.) This easy step will verify that those other people are really promoters of our products and they are all the same price, as you are buying from us. We deal with the warranty, we do with the customer service, we ship the product. From that point on it's all us.

  • fail! :)

  • Looks good and unit gets decent reviews on Amazon
    http://www.amazon.com/Rally-7470-Portable-Start-Charging/dp/…

Just not sure if it would have enough "oomph" to jump start my VW Golf (4cyl, 2.0L )

    • -1

      same product. ours isn't unavailable.

      • Yeah. Yours is the discontinued model though, and the 7471 is available for ~$90.

Of course it doesn't ship here, but since we can't seem to find any other local sellers of this item, how are we to know whether it's good value or not unless we compare it to Amazon?

        • The only difference seems to be the hand crank. Compare it to Amazon. That is a 110v Inverter, not a 240v Inverter. It's a different brand. (Not all brands are the same quality). Also, Amazon will not ship that item to Australia. I don't see how you can compare it?

        • Wow, you brought up all the things I brought up as if I didn't bring them up.

          Impressive.

        • Sorry, I was trying to invalidate the comparison to Amazon. I now see that I didn't answer your question.

If you want to compare it to something, find a similar product in Australia. If that can't be done, find out how much an air compressor, inverter, battery, solar panel, torch, usb converter, and compare it to that.

Ask yourself how much you'd pay for one of these? Just really consider how much is in it.

I think $175 is fairly cheap for one of these.

It's akin to arguing that you can't get dominos cheaper anywhere but other dominoes stores, and you don't want to buy the $4 pizza because it's the same price at all the franchises. Or you could compare it to the average price of a pizza, and appreciate a good bargain.

        • +1

See, that's the thing. I'm not arguing. I'm making no argument. I'm pointing out that we don't know if it's good value or not because there's nothing to compare it to.

Which seems to be something you agree with, but then because of that you conclude it IS good value.

    • It probably has enough oomph to start it twice

  • +1

We get what you're saying but you are missing the point of this site which is bargains.
ie. something being sold at a substantial saving over somethings regular price.

    • The regular price is $249? If we lowered it to $174, it would be reflected on every affiliate site as well.

      • +1

OK what you need to do is put that in the title, i think most people wouldnt have a problem with it then… however as your the only one selling it you could say RRP is 600 bux down to 175!!!

    • Find a similar product for less.

  • Sorry but I have to agree that this is not a bargain in the spirit of the Ozbargain site.

If everywhere else was selling it for say $270-$350
    then it'd be different.

    • +2

i don think being nasty to a rep who actually takes the time to explain himself is in the spirit of ozbargain either.
(more a general comment not just at you)

      • Two wrongs don't make a right :)

(yes I know you didn't mean me since I didn't say anything nasty)

      • Thanks for the support dr_rusko.

      • i agree, so i'm removing my -ve…

    • If you look for this product else where, it will be either a) more expensive, b) american (the inverter will be american, with an american plug), or c) it will be one of our affiliate sites.

You get a power inverter, an air compressor, a battery, a solar panel, a torch, usb ports, cigarette lighter ports. It is a great little device, I have one myself. I believe it's a pretty good deal. And I'm happy to be challenged if it's not.

We also offer warranty on that product, and we are in Australia. You are dealing with Australian people, your product comes from Adelaide. And if you have any problems, you can call us up, speak to an Australian, and have it sorted!

Please can we talk about the product, and can we stop down voting for the affiliate websites, that doesn't stop it being a good deal. The only point of sale those affiliate sites take you is us. We package and deliver the product. Everybody gets the solar, hand crank, led torch. I think we slip one in most packages going out. We also usually ship with a free pair of Zaidee Rainbow shoelaces. (A donation on our behalf, and a thank you for being our customer).

  • I cannot believe the level of ignorance on here. The rep went to great lengths to explain the situation with affiliates. People complain that others are offering a stupid god damn key ring and so this deal is not a bargain? How about the fact that the poster is probably the importer of these products and any warranty claims will end up going through him anyway? How many extra degrees of separation do you want for a free key ring that will end up in the garbage?

Try and find a local product to compare to, I wasn't able to but a 12v jump pack is $50-100 add another $100 for a 12v air compressor and this product becomes a bargain in a sense. Even compare it to the similar products on the amazon listing about and it works out cheaper for other products with comparable specs.

    • Kmart have been selling a Motorpro branded knockoff of the newer model, the 7471 (with pull-crank genny instead of solar IIRC) for some time now! Have a little think about why it has disappeared from the market, ie. why the product line has not been renewed…hence why it's not available anywhere else any more? ;)

Why haven't you +'d the deal yourself Peter, if you reckon it's so good??? :p

      • I've done a bit of research on the Rally 7471 and to be honest I'm not sure it's even in the same ball park. The 7471 has a smaller capacity inverter, and a hand crank. It seems to be a worse unit than the one we are selling. I'm willing to be corrected.

        • Voltage =/= capacity…110v is designated for the US market because that it what their mains supply runs at…whereas ours is 240v! Many inverters are switchable, as are many power supplies on various devices; hence the switch at the back that says '110~220v'! ;)

    • Thanks PeterB87 for your support. Yes, we do all the warranty claims. We actually import this item directly, under our own brand. I don't believe all the brands are identical. I don't think they all use the same components, some are better quality than others.

I'm not going to tell you our brand is the best, because frankly, I don't know. We offer a full warranty service. If it breaks, return it, we'll have a new one shipped. I've had mine for a while now and no issues, and I don't believe we get many returns.

    • Yes PeterB87 I agree there is ignorance here and its you guys that still don't get the point.

This has nothing to do with free key ring torches or comparisons with similar products on Amazon or anywhere else.

Ozbargain is for listing products that are substantially cheaper than other completely identical products being sold by competing retailers. It seems this product is only sold through one place in Australia (all selling at the same price anyway).

Yes this item might be great value compared to other similar units or using separate products, but it cannot be a bargain for the purposes of Ozbargain because there is no point of reference to compare the price to the identical item sold by competing retailers (again because it is only sold through a single channel).

I'm surprised the people who run this site have not removed this listing.
