  • What do you mean by out of action?

    • I'm interested to hear why as well.

        Hi,

Unfortunately DiviPay will need to remain on pause as our virtual card partner’s temporary outage continues. We are waiting for an update from our partner and are likely to receive one in the next few days. We will email you with any new information as soon as it becomes available.

We remain confident that DiviPay can return with our current provider. However, we have relationships with a number of other card issuers that we can partner with. In summary, DiviPay is not going anywhere.

Your funds remain safe and if you want to refund your available balance, simply close your virtual card and the refund will be processed within 5 business days.

What does this mean for me?
        - You will still not be able to create new virtual cards
        - You will still not be able to add funds to or make payments from existing virtual cards
        - You can still refund any available funds from DiviPay by closing your virtual card

Again we apologise for the inconvenience and we are continuing to work closely with our virtual card partner to assist them in any way we can. We are doing everything within our power to get the platform back up and running.

We will email you as soon as we are live again but if you have any questions in the meantime please live chat with us or send me an email directly at [email protected].

        Best regards,

        Daniel and the DiviPay team

    • Sorry for not including that detail. I overestimated how much of Ozbargain use divipay and/or read the forums. XiamoiGuy's information is correct. They've had an outage for over a week now preventing usage of the cards.

      • Hi guys, Daniel from DiviPay here. Just reiterating the sentiment in my email. We are working hard to resolve these issuers with our card issuing partner. We promise we will be back online shortly and are building a range of new product features that will make us the best virtual card product in the market. Thanks for your patience and support!

  • Entropay is an alternative, just be warned that if you are going to link this to your PayPal then you will definitely have issues.

    • Thank you for this. Looking at the pricing on the site I notice this details;

"Top up from as low as 1%. Plus, it's always free to create a card and make an online purchase with a card."

Do you happen to have any more information on this? What dictates if it's more than 1%?

I only want to put $40 on for the moment and am happy to pay 4c for that.

        1% is 40 cents, not 4 cents.

        • Oops. Still 40c is alright as a one off until divipay presumably comes back

      • The Entropay pricing page has all the details. Click on the first 'SHOW MORE' button.

        Top ups from Australian credit cards are charged a 4.95% fee ($40 x 4.95% = $1.98 fee)

Nuts, that's starting to get priced a bit annoyingly. I will hold off for a few more days and use it if I get desperate.

    • I just setup a card and loaded it with AU$40/~US$30 but Belong Mobile is declining my payment using it for some reason. I might have to call them tomorrow which I think will be an unpleasant phone call..

I was a big supporter of DiviPay but roadblocks like this are enough to derail all momentum and confidence.
I've pulled all my funds and cancelled all direct debits.

Let's hope they get it back on the road.

I've used Entropay before and it's been fine, just the load fees and FX are a killer.

    • If I funded via multiple prepaid visa, how does the close and refund method works? back to each individual prepaid visa?

    • +1

Hi, Thanks for your support. Totally understand this roadblock will come with a loss in confidence. We definitely are not going anywhere and will be back shortly. We are working with our issuing partner to get the product live again as soon as possible. In parrallel we are building a number of new features and functionality which will make DiviPay the best virtual card product in the market.

  • If I funded via multiple prepaid visa, how does the close and refund method works? back to each individual prepaid visa?

    • Yes,back to the original cards.

  • if you have an abn you can use b2bpay.com.au I only just did a trial run today for $10 so I don't know much about them nor can vouch for them yet. but beware of the t/c. also card fees depend on type of credit card used but at least its all tax deductible as a business expense and you earn your full credit card points instead of paying the ATO directly. if payment fails there's a $15 fee so be mindful of this. on the pros it has a 2000 QFF sign up offer if you sign up before may 15th and you earn 1 Qantas reward points per $100. note if you spend over $10,000 by the end of May you get 10 000 Qantas points that alone may be worthy of a separate post if someone wants to do it.?

  • Any update on this? I've been pondering opening a Divipay account…

May not work for everyone and every situation but if you're looking for a virtual disposable credit card Velocity Global Wallet does include one card you can expire and re-issue any time.

For people looking to cut down on transaction fees and foreign transfer fees and conversion fees take a look at a second account with Macquarie or ING both use the MasterCard or Visa rate when converting to a foreign currency like DiviPay and also didn't add their cut on top. Both banks offer Apple Pay in Google Pay and allow you to lock the card when you don't want it to be used.
