Up goes the brekky deal… O.o

    • +2

Sadly Yes, now extra ¢15 :(
Looks like i might have to cut my breakfast alternative days

      • Same

  • +4

The only one I used the Chicken Royale small meal for $3.95 is gone, oh well no more HJ's for me.

Small double beef and bacon meals at Maccas are $5.

    • Small double beef and bacon has been expired a while. They do have a $5 mcfeast meal though

  • -1

Garrr I just got back from HJs, could have used a coupon! Ah well. On the upside they flame-grilled the patties like they're meant to, no microwave job today.

    • You should know there are on going vouchers.

  • 1 dollar more expensive on the whopper meal :(

    • Edit: nevermind, I misread. Yeah, it sucks.

  • +1

Bah, they got rid of Meal Deal for Two, there goes my usual lunch. Nice variety between beef and chicken, cheaper than the Hunger Tamer, especially if your local store let you swap two small drinks for a large (Elizabeth Street store and Southern Cross store still let you do it, but MC will only do medium now)

  • as only a part time fatty…. which of these is a good deal? or the best deal?

    • The 2 xtralong chicken rolls with peri peri sauce got 6 bucks is my go to. I get an extra spicy sauce to put on it too.

      • Do they have extra spicy sauce? Never seen it on any of their burgers

  • +1

Damn, price all gone up a dollar or so…

  • +2

I still miss the days when you could get a voucher for 2 grilled chicken burgers for the price of 1 (many years ago).

    • +1

Yes i loved that 2 for 1 on Tuesdays they use to have

  • How do I tell if my store is "phone is fine"?

    • +2

Turn up at store and try it, if they say no, REPORT them to Hungry Jacks via the website.

Hungry Jacks support has said mobile vouchers are accepted and even they publish mobile vouchers online.

If a store is not following company procedures, it will be dealt with internally.

  • Grilled chicken ffs!!!

    • i know right - thats pretty much the only thing i'll eat from HJs now (at least that i'd prefer to eat anyway)

  • +6

Getting harder to justify going to hi when they keep increasing prices.

    • +3

I'm giving up on this round since the Chicken Royale, Small Fries, Small Drink $3.95 was removed.

It was a decent snack for the price.

The Breakfast deal is a waste of time now, $3 was good, then it went up and now again.

Even Maccas (with their crap/app deals) is starting to look good.

KFC is just doing nothing. Hopefully they are just waiting.

      • +1

        KFC is heaps good

        • +1

          Finger lickin' good

  • +2

    Not into HJ anymore

The large chips just isn't large enough

    • Over 2000kj, that's definitely enough. Maccas is only about 1600.

  • Could you still use the previous HJ vouchers? When I redeemed the offer in the past, the person behind the counter usually just glances at it, goes 'ok' and makes my order without looking at the finer print i.e. the expiry date.

    • +2

      Once the register updates, no.

The offers are on the register.

      • Ah ok that makes sense - so the prices will be reflective of the current HJ vouchers (i.e. this one) rather than the previous one?

        • Yes, until 11:59pm tomorrow tonight for the old 7th expiry coupons.

I haven't tried the Last Day, so you might still get it tomorrow.

Unless there are some old store that don't update, you might get away with it, but doubt it.

  • +1

Phone is fine, Price is not fine

    • -1

Drone is fine? Asking for a friend

  • I miss the 2 for 1 angus burger deal from the previous My Kitchen Rules season.

  • +2

Meal deal for two is gone WTF

    • that was the one with tendercrisp, whopper, 2 drinks and 2 fries right?
that was my favorite one :( ffs

  • -1

So much entitlement in the comments.

The deal is good - and relative to practically every other store and restaurant it is still a genuine bargain.

    • Breakfast is a great bargain, rest is average prices tbh.

  • +3

Some good deals there. Good post. Those Xtra long rolls, are dodgy asf in size though . They cannot call those things xtra long, they are quite small really.

    • They used to be decent

    • Agreed.

They should remove xtra and reissue the vouchers lol

  • @OP OfficeLens mate, absolutely awesome app.

    Cheers for posting

  • +1

Inflation is killing off cheap fast food, geeze.

  • +2

wow nothing - other than brekkie items - under $5 any more :\

    • +1

Sounds like only the breakfast is better at Hungry Jacks, not much else lol

  • The minis on the top-right are a rip-off. One reviewer on YouTube says it's 1 small burger meat ripped in half put into two minis buns.

  • -2

    Is fone phine?

  • +1

Printed, laminated, holepunched and binded just to be sure.

  • My old man will love me for this, I just don't get it why he love it so much.

  • Just wondering mate, how do you get these coupons?

    • Depending on the store, I know HJ at Southern Cross Station Melbourne normally has a stack of them on the counter until they run out…

      or

Wait until tomorrow and they will be up on the website - https://www.hungryjacks.com.au/exclusivedeals which you can use on your phone.

The Shake and Win app seems to be used a lot at these 2 locations, never failed to see someone use it without buying/paying for anything else on each visit. Down side, you need to use Facebook to use it.

      • Yes, that was annoying when they decided you needed Facebook for the app!

  • +1

These are the worst deals I've seen since I first started using HJ coupons. Another price hike. Can't even consider them deals anymore!

    • +2

Where are you going to go now?

  • Link for the vouchers has been updated directly to Hungry Jacks.

  • Do you guys know if HJ start charging for sauces now?

    • Ketchup is free, other sauces (BBQ Plum, Spicy, Honey Mustard, Sweet & Sour) cost 50 cents but 1 is free with onion rings or nuggets. (Staff said in the HJ AMA, I haven't verified this)
Might be 30 cents, but they are charging for it.

      • They are 30 cents.

      • Only free for only nuggets unfortunately.

  • Is it possible to swap and of the patties for a veggie patty for these meals?

    • -1

Yes, in the deals involving Whoppers, the vouchers note that Whoppers can be substituted with a Veggie Whopper. The other burgers don't specify substitutions but you could try your luck. You can always just drop the patty (and stuff and few fries in).

    • It counts as adding an ingredient, so any burger (even on the Penny Pinchers menu) can have a veggie patty "swapped out" and it's $1.45 extra.

  • +1

It will get to a point soon where Hungry Jacks loses the one competitive advantage it has; it's price.

  • +1

…i wonder what the average mortality rate of the typical ozbargainer is compared to the rest of the population?

    • +2

sure, but we leave more for our families when we die :)

  • Darn they jacked up the price of the two small whopper meals by $1

  • +1

Aw man, they got rid of the Whopper with cheese voucher.

  • The quality of HJ has gone downhill a lot over the last few years.

  • Can I use these at Sydney international airport?
