$21 Cashback on $25 Vodafone 10GB Mobile Data SIM (180 Day Expiry) @ Cashrewards

Vodafone currently has this prepaid data SIM at half price (normally $50). The cashback is the sweetener as you're basically getting 10GB with 6 months expiry for $4. In order to receive the cashback, you must (1) activate the SIM within 30 days of purchase, and (2) have the SIM remain active for 60 days after activation. There's no reason to cancel early as it has a 180 day expiry. Offer is limited to one per customer and one per Cashrewards account.

Note that although this stacks with Refer-a-Friend, please do not attempt to game the system by creating or have more than one Cashrewards account as they will be flagged, account/s cancelled, and rewards forfeited (as per our terms).

Please turn Adblock/uBlock off and close all open tabs. Ensure you are logged into your Cashrewards account and click out of the main link via the Cashrewards Shop Now button. Do not exit the Vodafone page until your purchase is complete. Last click is key to tracking. Offer ends tomorrow (Thursday) 11:59pm AEST. Enjoy :)

    I currently have a Kogan prepaid SIM card. My mobile phone supports dual-sim cards. If I activate this Vodafone Mobile only SIM card, am I forced to port over my Kogan number to Vodafone network? Or will I receive a new number from Vodafone which I won't be able to use as it's Mobile only SIM card? Or something else? Ideally I would like to keep my Kogan number, but have the Vodafone Mobile SIM card for additional data.

    What is defined as 'active for 60 days'? i.e. not cancelled within 60 days?

    Can this deal stack for one user? i.e. If I and a family member purchased one of each packs (to make up two of these packs), am I able to get 20GB to use within 180 days? (Assuming that the cashrewards accounts are independent, i.e. family member buys the second deal.)

    • It's a data SIM. No reason to port a number if that is your "voice" number.

    PS: I did use different email address to my CR account. Can this caused the issue?

    • Hi josu. Tracking for Vodafone is usually very fast, as you can see from comments above. If you followed the instructions in the OP, you should hopefully eventually receive the email. I’m a little concerned something may have gone amiss since the Vodafone site went into maintenance mode a few hours ago. However don’t worry. Please give it to midday and if still nothing, ping me your order number (starts with V) and I’ll see what I can find out.

    • No calls, but you 'may' send 30 txts.

      (when you login Vodafone apps you will see the 'Free TXT 30 Remaining', but I can't send or receive messages via my dual sim phone)

    no adblock and the cashrewards isn't working. Using the link provided, my cashrewards notifier doesn't say anything about cashrewards being activated.

      Hi ChrisY. The unsuccessfully tracked PMs I've received today are due to either buying two (or more) SIMs or having AdBlock active on clicks. Hopefully this is not the case for you. If you followed the instructions in the OP, you would have tracked successfully. If however you didn't, please open a ticket via this link and our customer service team will add the transaction to your account as pending while the enquiry is sent to Vodafone for review & approval.         Got the aud 21 CR this morning when business opens. Lodged the ticket at close of business last night. It was quick.

        Thanks TA for helping and guiding me through the claim process. I was one of those who ordered 2 sims whose purchase was not tracked. I thought that I would lose aud 50 straightaway but TA managed to negotiate a CR of aud 21 even it was a mistake. Still a good deal 2 sims for aud 29 (inclusive of CR).

        I can't open a ticket before 7 days.

        I'm having less and less faith in CR. None of my purchases in May have tracked. And I want to stress that I don't use ad blockers any time I use CR.

        I got burned by that once, and made sure from there on I always use a browser with no adblockers.

    • Hi taoz. Yes, that’s what the tracking email states and is at the extreme limit. This is due to the 30 day activation period, and 60 day requirement to remain connected. When Vodafone gives us the green light, we’ll approve them in your Cashrewards account immediately. This is the same with every merchant. They dictate approval times, not Cashrewards.

        I just activate my vodafone sim tonight and it has a 35 days expiry which is different to your title description. And it takes cashreward 3 months to approve?

        • You’ve bought and activated the wrong SIM. And approval time comes from Vodafone. Nothing to do with Cashrewards.

    Thanks TA. I just bought one tonight, $21 rewards balance is in my account already. I disabled Adblockplus add-ons, Avast add-ons, https everywhere add-ons, and adguard add-ons. No problem.

        • @lostn: Can't remember exactly if the bonus data was mentioned when I was activating the sim card. When I login to my account now, on the my usage page under my plan it lists 10GB as recharge data and bonus data as 25GB.

    Is the activation key last 10 digits of SIM number?
    I used that but keep getting reinsert your activation key.

      The activation key is not on the SIM card. You need to open up the packaging and inside there are the words "Activation Key" and below that there is the number you need to enter to activate the SIM card.

  • Major problems trying to activate this SIM card today with Vodafone. Website activation wouldn't work, so I had to call them, and they claim that they can't find/see the offer (it ended on 22 May, that's why…) and only want to give me 30-days expiry.

    HORRIBLE company to deal with. Never again!!!

  • Been trying to activate since last night and keep getting "Something didn't go as planned. Please try activating again later." when I enter the order number and delivery postcode. There is an option to skip and continue but I am concerned whether that might not trigger this deal's cashback reward?

      This is the problem I experienced when trying to do it online. So I called them, and this is where my big problems began. See my post above..

          I hope you have success, it really depends who you get on the phone and how willing they are to push it through. The guy I got on the phone wanted scans of documents, the SIM pack etc.
