$17 Cashback on $25 Vodafone 35GB Mobile Data SIM (180 Day Expiry) @ Cashrewards

2410

This deal has just been supercharged! $4 less cashback, but 25GB more data! Vodafone currently has this prepaid data SIM at half price (normally $50), and obviosuly the cashback is the sweetener as you're basically getting 35GB with 6 months expiry for just $8.

In order to receive the cashback, you must (1) activate the SIM within 30 days of purchase, and (2) have the SIM remain active for 60 days after activation. No reason to cancel early due to 180 day expiry. Offer limited to one per customer and one per Cashrewards account. Orders of 2 or more SIMS will not be tracked!

Note that although this stacks with Refer-a-Friend, please do not attempt to game the system by creating or have more than one Cashrewards account as they will be flagged, account/s cancelled, and rewards forfeited (as per our terms).

Please turn Adblock/uBlock off and close all open tabs. Ensure you are logged into your Cashrewards account and click out of the main link via the Cashrewards Shop Now button. Do not exit the Vodafone page until your purchase is complete. Last click is key to tracking. Offer ends 11:59pm AEST May 20, unless withdrawn earlier. Enjoy :)

Simple Instructions:

  • Log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Click the main link or click here.
  • Click the Shop Now button.
  • Add the $50 $25 SIM to cart.
  • Complete purchase without leaving Vodafone page.
  • Receive CR tracking email.
  • Receive SIM in mail.

Thanks TA, you and CR keep pumping out these deals and I hope that everyone who takes advantage of this deal thanks you for your efforts.

  • +1

can anyone confirm when does Vodafone started 90 days validity?
Their SIMs used to have no expiry date.

    • Late last year I contacted Vodafone was told no expiry date, it has changed?

    • +1

T&C (page 4) says SIM is valid for one year?

  • +1

thanks, would been great to have this earlier instead of taking the other 10gb option up.
understand its probably part of the plan, but one, better buy another stuff

    • +1

If you active your SIM from last deal, you ade also getting 35Gb according to irecu! Even better, Voda should have waited a bit longer.

  • +3

    Thanks grabbed 279

  • Thanks TA cheap data for my old man

  • +6

Is this considered a new deal if I already signed up for the 10gb one? e.g once for the 10gb and once for 35gb?

    • +8

      Yep, all good.

      • So you can get cashback for this as well as the previous 10GB deal? I am tempted to also buy into to this deal if I can activate/use multiple simultaneously/overlapping on one vodafone account/registration and qualify for all the cashbacks?

    • The interesting part is whether you're getting half price of the $50 SIM if you have bought previously.
      As stated in their T&C:

Half price Prepaid Mobile Broadband SIM Starter Pack
Offer available online to customers who purchase a Vodafone Prepaid SIM $50 Starter Pack via shop.vodafone.com.au by 22/05/2018 (inclusive). >$25 discount will be applied at checkout. Offer not available for commercial or resale purposes. Limit 1 per customer. Not transferable and >not redeemable for cash. Standard Prepaid SIM Starter Pack terms apply – see vodafone.com.au for more info.

  • Hope it tracks, but $25 for 35GB is still a good deal even if it doesn't :) Purchased!

    • If it doesn't you can just contact CR and they'll sort it out, but the tracking has worked the last few times for me anyways so I think Voda has it sorted.

  • When activating these sims, can you port in a number? (And port out later)?

    • +4

It’s a broadband sim so why would it matter?

  • -1

Will wait for what shopback offers. They've been trumping everything CR are doing lately

    • You just need to look at the comments from the previous/recent ShopBack Vodafone deal to see how they mucked it up big time. Show's they are amateurs and you'll be lucky if you get your cashback after banging on doors. For reliability, and great support should something go wrong (CR support team are freakin' awesome), stick with Cash Rewards.

      • -1

My shopback purchase is showing $15 cash back. Email received quickly. As is usually the case this purchase from cash rewards no tracking email, no sign of any cash back. Looks like another waste of money thanks to cash rewards never working. I should have done what I did last time and not taken the risk.

      • Last i remember issue was with Vodafone and cashrewards !? I remember that because i didnt got cash back. Dont have any experience with shopback yet so dont know if they are good…can you please post that link ( of issue with shopback) ?

        • +2

The issues were outlined in the OP. Every member that clicked & purchased was contacted via email and all received their cashback. You acknowledged you may have been at fault.

        • @tightarse: you would have happy and unhappy customers in every business..doesnt make cashreward a bad company…sole purpose of my question was how much unhappy (if not happy :-) ) people are with shopback ( just before i make my first purchase through their app).

        • @tightarse:

          Hi TA,

I accidentally made a mistake by ordering two sim cards and paid $50. My understanding is that I won't receive any cashback as I order 2. Would you be able to help with getting at least $17 cashback? Many thanks.

  • So…Vodafone are better these days?

    • +3

Short answer for me is YES.

Long answer, depends on which service/plan your comparing it to in which particular area.

Compared to around five +- years ago all three major Telcos have improved, but as a percentage probably Vodafone the most as they were coming from behind.

Reception/speed wise of course this will only depend on where you will use, as with all others too. Telstra on average will have generally the best coverage in the country, but I find Vodafone as good as Optus in that regard.

Value wise Vodafone offer the best value prepaid offers for amount of data unless you get another cracker deal usually on a sim only/phone plan with others.

    • In short, try the deal to find out yourself

  • Thanks TA
    Bought!
How long will the CR tracking email arrive usually?

  • +1

Can I receive calls using this package?

  • +8

I just activated my sim from the previous deal and it included the 25GB bonus data! Thx TA

    • May I ask how did you activate it — if you had to port the number or did you receive a new number from Vodafone? Since my Vodafone SIM card will be dual-sim and I don't want to erase my primary number on my primary SIM card.

      • +3

Activated as a tablet data sim, received a new number from Vodafone and am using it as a secondary data sim to my Aldi voice sim.

        • I see. That is helpful. Thank you. Do you happen to know if there are any differences between tablet data sim and mobile broadband data? I plan to use it on my mobile phone, rather than tablet.

        • +2

          @chmod:

I am a bit confused by it myself. I ordered the $50 Mobile Broadband Sim but it comes as a $50 Sim Starter Pack.
You get the option to use the starter pack for phone (voice, text, call), Tablet (data) or Modem (data)
I just went with the second one and am using it in my phone

        • +1

@irecu: Yeah same. I think option 2 and 3 would result the same benefits of 10GB/35GB data. I wasn't totally sure on what to select next (new phone # or porting). But you've cleared it up. Big thank you.

        • +1

@chmod: I'm using it on my phone. Pretty much same as normal SIM minus the ability to take/make calls and SMS.

    • "irecu" How did you see you bonus 25GB data show up in your ballance account? I activated mine this morning and on my online Vodafone MY usage it shows a balance of 10GB only. Have contacted live chat to ask and they said it will appear as Bonus 25GB data on account within 72hrs which sounds good. But when activating my $40 data combo last week my bonus data appeared instantly live on the phone app.

      • +4

"ozhunter68" The 25GB appears under "Bonus Data" to the right of "Free TXT" on the My Vodafone - My Usage / Home Page (website). It appeared just after activation for me, but I only activated tonight. Hope yours comes through!

        • +1

Thanks for speedy reply. I activated this morning, so might have missed out the new changes by a few hours if yours shows up now in same My Usage/Home page.

Win some and not by so much for others as still great value after cashback :-)

  • Thank you again TA. Looking forward to more great deals. Keep it up.

  • bought one…hope the vodafone network is good in sydney train training to city..

  • +2

Hope these long-life data SIMs get even more data for not much $$. Would be great as an in-car hotspot. Telstra still wins in interstate trips between Sydney and Melbourne however.

  • Seem to be stuck in a loop trying to register for My Vodafone with previous deal…

    Will grab as well.

    Thanks TA

  • Sorry if I missed it in post, if I order 2 $25 Sim cards, will it allow 2 numbers under the same name be ported over to Vodafone and the offer still be valid?

    • There are three separate offers here actually.

The main offer is for ONE Cashback only of $17 per account for the purchase of a Vodafone $50 ( now on sale half price ) sim starter pack if activated for data for modem/tablet within 30 days of purchase And keep sim active for at least 60 days.

Second offer here is for everyone purchasing a Vodafone $50 multi sim starter pack online direct from Vodafone now Half Price with Free delivery.

Third offer is also a Vodafone offer of an extra 25GB data for the $50 sim starter packs activated for data for a modem/tablet, so total of 35GB and six month expiry.

Also you do not need to port into Vodafone if you don't want for any of these three offers as you can choose a new number, but you have option to port if you want to.

Hope this clarified things for you.

  • Cheers TA/CR that's school holiday data sorted.

  • Can you put a hotspot in the same cart and still be eligible?
Would end up with 2 sims or just one?

  • +1

Received the tracking confirmation email in 15 mins.
    Thanks TA.

  • +2

Thanks TA, tracking worked fine, great deal. Now does anyone have a good deal on a hotspot/dongle/whatever they are called these days?

    • +1

Just in case you did not know, with Vodafone even if you have chosen to activate sim for tablet/modem etc.data only ( you do get 50 TXT to use in the web portal ), you can still put the sim into a smartphone and use your phone/hotspot for data only ( can't txt using phone ).

I prefer using a portable modem personally most of the time ( as I have weak signal in most of my house, and leave modem plugged in where I have better signal, can even use external antenna on many models ) to use my laptop or tablet/phone. These days with all these Kogan free one months 23GB sims and other specials on starter pack/sim deals, I use a combination of spare phone(s) to directly use for media consumption or hotspot to lappy, as well as using a portable modem, just toggle between them depending on what I'm doing.

      • So can you receive calls on this sim? If so I can just use the data and skype to make calls.

        • +3

This is a Multi sim, meaning you can choose from standard sim size, micro sim or nano sim, and you can CHOOSE when activating if you want one of their multiple CALLING/DATA/INT/TXT prepaid plans for mobile phones ( but you can still use as data in portable modem if activated like this ), OR you can activate for DATA ONLY ( NO Calling but can use web portal to use up to 50 included TXT ) to use mostly in portable modem/tablet/computer with sim slot ( but you still can also use for data only in smartphone which can help as an option ).

With both options stated above you can port number or get new number.

To get the $17 cashback you need to follow the posts instructions AND activate sim pack for DATA use.

        • @ozhunter68:

Could you please elaborate more re using the web portal to send the texts? TIA!

      • Thanks ozhunter, very helpful. The main reason I want to get a 4g modem is that I can't seem to get my Chromecast to connect to my phone in mobile hotspot mode. I read it may be something to do with my phone acting as a 5ghz hotspot that the Chromecast can't see,, but I couldn't work out how to change it.

Which portable modem are you using?

  • So you can receive calls even though it’s data only.

    • +1

No you can't. But if you speak to them, they will have to unblock txt so you can send/receive TXT. I have done it in the past.

  • If I buy something off eBay with Cashrewards does it work on any store?
Coz I have bought multiple things but never got any cash back.

  • Hmm looks sale didn't track as I purchased this morning and no email or tracking on account. Stupid Edge as my address wouldn't load in Chrome at the time so I used it.

Will wait the 7 days to lodge a request to investigate.

  • +1

    Thanks TA.

  • Mine didn't track, and I purchased it yesterday. :(

  • I followed instructions, but didn't receive the email and can't see it on my Cashrewards account either. Does that mean it didn't track?

Edit - Got the email* sorry!

  • Am I able to port my phone number over or is this data only

  • Great price, ordered one thanks.

  • i just got my sim, during activation, i only see 10G data not35G 180 day expriy is correct.

any thing i am doing wrong? i select tablet data only as my device.

    • signed in to myvodafone. you will see the bonus data.

      • I am having issues activating…

"Something didn't go as planned. Please try activating again later."

        • choose the other option. i forgot what that one was, but i did rememeber i enoutered the same smg. but i do get to managed finish my activatiion. i use my Passport

      • yea i just saw that, thanks for reply man !!!!

  • so how do i claim my cash reward? i guess i have to wait 60 days?

since quote "(2) have the SIM remain active for 60 days after activation"

  • Ordered yesterday. Delivered today. Perfect for when I move and inevitable internet downtime.

  • When is the latest I can activate this by and claim cashback + bonus data? On Vodafone they mention a couple of things.

Offer available online to customers who purchase a Vodafone Prepaid SIM $50 Starter Pack via shop.vodafone.com.au by 22/05/2018 (inclusive).

$50 Prepaid MBB Starter Pack (25GB bonus data) (‘Bonus Data’) or $2 SIM and recharge on $40 MB Recharge (20GB bonus data) or $50 MBB Recharge (25GB bonus data) and (ii) activate and recharge between 14/05/2018 – 14/08/2018 (inclusive) (‘Campaign Period’).

  • Hi op, the expiry is 35 days on the info, not 180? Am i missing something?

    • Hi there. Seems you may have done something wrong during activation, or ordered the incorrect SIM? Definitely 180 day expiry.

      • I got the sim as your instructions, also got pending cash rewards. When activated, i chose 2nd option with international calls. What possibly went wrong?

      • And the data is 9gb ;(

        • When activated, i chose 2nd option with international calls. What possibly went wrong?

This is a data only SIM offer. From comments in the post, appears no-one else had your issue?

        • @tightarse: my bad ;(
So this is 35 day, will i still get the cash rewards?

        • @Louis Litts: Hi again, not my call unfortunately. Vodafone reports the initial sales to us (which tracked for you), but they can decline when they consolidate sales post-activation. This is why there's a pending period on your account. Hopefully they'll approve irrespective.

  • +1

Thanks TA, worked for me, true bargain

  • waiting for;
$17 Cashback on $25 Vodafone 180GB Mobile Data SIM (35 Day Expiry), as a regular offer.
    thanks

  • I bought the sim but I haven't activated it. Looking at vodafone website now, they no longer have the 180 days expiry data plan. Am I too late in activating it ????

edit: I'm looking at the wrong section on vodafone website, it's actually still available https://www.vodafone.com.au/mobile-broadband/prepaid

  • When I activate, it says it's only 10GB. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

    • yes same here?

    • Yeah exact same issue. After waiting one week I called Vodafone and they did it manually

      • I've just gone to activate it and seen only the 10GB as well. Then I read back to the OP and it says has to be activated within 30 days…..doh! Anyone had any luck getting the deal by calling them after the 30 days?

        • FYI - called them this morning and even though 30 days has passed they activated the sim and gave me 35GB.

  • I did this and didn't get the cash back. What do?
