    So sick of missing out on targeted offers! Seriously, I've used ONE offer this year from Amex. The rest have been so bad. I have been a loyal Amex customer for years and referred so many people. Now it's really annoying me how my loyalty is being treated.

    So I just tried to buy a $100 egiftcard from one card, and another $100 egiftcard from another card last night.

    Got the AMEX credit offer email come through straight away.

    However, this morning I get two emails from DJ that my orders havent been fulfilled.

    Wishful thinking, but did anyone get the same happen but AMEX didn’t reverse the credits?

      I was going to do all my cards today but not if this is happening. It seems similar to the last Harvey Normal cashback AMEX deal. Where any GC bought with an AMEX is just cancelled and they don't allow it.

        I recall this too with HN, although I do also remember that a number of people were also pocketing the AMEX credits as AMEX didn’t reverse them!

        So if it’s the same case here, it’ll be a bonus.

        Hopefully someone can confirm either way from this DJ one?

          What'll happen is AmEx will see a credit come through for the exact amount as the purchase - in other words a refund. Their system is set up to collect back the statement credit when a refund comes onto your card. So you'll see the $20 statement credit reversed, their system is now geared up to do that!
