Amazon.com.au Parcel Has Gone Missing

The other week I took advantage of a cheap Lego star wars set x2. I used the first time promo ($20 off $70 spend) plus they had an additional 20% off star wars. Order went through OK, and I received the tracking number. (Courier fastway). Amazon tracking said it was due for delivery Tuesday. Waited all day Tuesday and Wednesday. Contacted Amazon Wednesday evening but because fastway was closed for the day they said they would chase it up Thursday (today). Tonight I received an email saying my parcel was lost and they will refund my money and place a $10 credit on my account. I've checked there website and they are still selling the Lego set I purchased but for double the $$(same seller) I have asked them to reissue my order. (It was for a birthday present, which happened to be today). Anyone else had issues with Amazon.com.au??

Edited to say "Amazon have been amazing, they have told me to repurchase my order and they will change the price at there end to match the promotion price. They have also given me free priority shipping. I will need to either refuse the first delivery, send it back or purchase it if it reappears". Very happy 😃

Another update Original parcel was found it went on a scenic tour of Australia I will be sending it back to Amazon.

    How’s that Amazon’s issue? The courier lost it, they refunded you and added $10 on top.

      Not sure if the courier even picked it up. Fastway website (when I used there tracking) says the order has been lodged.

      Amazon tracking says it was to be delivered Tuesday.

      Agree it’s not Amazon’s problem.

      I’d contact their support and see if they’ll give you the $20 off your first order.

      I’ve had no issues with amazon

    Trust me, you'll receive the original parcel — expect it in a few weeks — fastway are pathetic & their warehouses are stupidly disorganised

      Yep, my local Fastway franchisee likes to keep the parcel in his van for a week before delivering it.

      It has be found and delivered. They decided to send it across Australia before sending it to me. I will be sending it back to Amazon.

    Was it fulfilled by amazon or the seller?

    Keep an eye on the tracking, it should update.

    Fastway wont say its lost until a certain amount of time has passed. so seems a little suss.
    If its seller fulfilled, keep asking them to re-send it otherwise a negative review based on customer service.

    With amazon being new to aus, sellers dont want a bad reputation this early.

      It was fulfilled by Amazon.com.au.

      I've contacted Fast-way regarding the order and after checking I noticed that the package got lost in transit.

        I had fastway deliver an alternator from Victoria to Maryborough Qld in 4 working says today some other items came that tracking said was shipped from hervey bay depot to Maryborough base yesterday at 8 am

        Fastways guy is a great bloke said it was sent to Bundy from hervey bay
        by mistake ( Yet addressed to Maryborough and did the trip and returned etc.) because at the warehouse esp Sydney, they are a bunch of migrant workers who know nothing and can't read LOL

        I used to work at a retailer who does slot of shipping with Fastway. 'item lost in transit' is one of their go to ways to say 'we have a horrible tracking system and we don't actually know where the parcel is…it could still be on its way ' just tells you how pathetic the courier company is. Can't believe Amazon actually uses them.

    Yes. I ordered some shoes from Amazon.com.au in March but there's still no sign of them. Seller is not responding to enquiries.

    Price of the shoes has now increased by 4000%. I don't know what I can do, I want the shoes but I don't even know if they were ever sent. Maybe they were stolen by a postal worker?

    This is my first ever order from Amazon.com.au and it really doesn't give me much confidence.

      I ended up getting free doc martens from Amazon UK when they got lost. Got refund and a few weeks later they turned up. I know you don't want a refund so just hang in there, but check when the last time is you can make a claim so you don't end up with no money and no shoes.

      Yes I did. This was my first order with Amazon. If this is something that happens frequently I won't bother using them again. I was wanting to know other people's experiences.
