    They are durable and the warranties are exceptional (most 10 years).

      Warranties are questionable.

      Last year my samsonite wheel starting getting stuck, and the pull-handle wouldn't come out.

      Their repair centre took it in, and said headoffice claimed it was airport-damage.

      Useless in my case. Good luck with your future warranty claim

    I says no, unless the value of what in the suitcase worth as much or more than the suitcase itself. How often you will travel in that 10 yrs.
    We bought something very similiar to these in Viet Nam for under $100

    They all have the same features. The way I see it is that plastic will outlast human so 10yrs of warranty is just a marketing thingy.

        My points still there:

        -You can get the same/similar materials + feature for a much cheaper price
        -These Poly-carbonate are not only tough, flexible but also durable.

        However, the more $$$ people spend is the better for economic.

    Unfortunately, PULl5 doesn’t apply too Travel category. Note also that this is an online only deal, was at the store and they scan at full price.

  I was in a Myer store today and the notice indicated that there is 40% off if you buy TWO pieces of Samsonite. The customer service person told me that I could have 40% off if I purchased just one as "they weren't busy".

  Perhaps this is the new deal replacing the 50% offer found by the OP.
